Its no secret Virginia has spent a few $$$ this season but they are one win away from a Premiership, which would be their first since 1998. All Clubs pay players, some Clubs pay more than others, however quite often Clubs will waste lots of $$$ on recruits that don't live up to their hype, but unfortunately the majority of amateur/ country footy clubs are buying players to top up their locals. Its very hard to remain competitive without recruits, but you have to get the balance right. Greg Phillips has got the Rams peaking at the right time of the year and its hard to argue Niklaus and Johnston havn't been worth every dollar cause they are both quality footballers, big game players and match winners.

Saturday's Grand Final should be a classic, heading out to Balaklava Oval Howgdizhe? The Rams are the form side off the competition, theyv'e got to the big dance the hard way from the 1st semi but Mallala's going for 3 flags in 4 years. Agree with you on Johno, he's a great player and looks alot fitter than when he played for South Gawler in the BL&G. Both sides have some quality players watching Rigney, Howell, Wilkey, Johnston, Niklaus go head to head with Whitwell, Rimmer, Earl along with Joel and Ryan Montgomerie should be worth the entrance fee.

Fog Horn's Tip - Mallala by 11 points

Apparently the votes, round by round, for the medal are supposed to be posted online somewhere according to the MC on Saturday night, was wondering if anyone had the link.

if he is over the shin splints then he will have a big impact on the game. Along with A. Mark, they make a couple of key defensive spots their own.

Dorward did not play in defence against the roosters at all this year. supported galic in the ruck resting at half forward
