Snoozer, we might as well be comparing a helicopter to a watermelon.
Diddles Harvey has shed hair that is more talented than Baker, surely the very point that Bakes is disliked amongst team-mates decreases his value, as when he 'leads form the front' will anyone be inspired or just sneer at him.
Diddles is surely the more complete player.
Am very sure there are great players outside of Angaston, could probably name 20-30 guys that we would love to have,
watching yesterdays game with guys like Commane, Brading and Scrub Taylor playing well we could
always open up some salary cap room for those boys.
Forgive us though for having a deeper respect for the guys along side of us in the trenches that we play with week in, week out.

Hope Kapunda had a good footy trip in the Riverland. They attended the RFL GF.
Seems one of the boys forgot his clothes and had to make a dash across the oval to retrieve them at one point.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

I was thinking the same thing Fat Cat. What happened?

Good effort by Roger James in his 1st effort at Coaching putting the Doggies back into the GF. But can they beat the Champs?

Wasn't too much celebrating done post-season at Ango this year, an opportunity wasted really.
We had a terrible run with injuries, but in saying that we have no-one to blame but ourselves.
That would be the reason none of our blokes are making excuses on here.
Sad thing is there will be a few older blokes who will not get that one last sweet taste of another flag now.

Well done to Barossa, certainly looking forward to the clash this weekend. Didn't go to the game but the result did surprise me, I would have thought that Barossa would have been suffering from the previous weeks slog but they obviously proved to be a real class act.

How about GC, not invited to the Big Dance once again, How many 3rd places is that over the last 10- 15 years ? Losing Prelims is a bit like dancing with your sister. I thought they were going to get there this year, especially with the week off. What happened ?

Yes tend to agree with you Drifter,I was a bit disappointed and was looking forward to what was shapping up to anouther result under a kick.
I thought Barossa would run out of legs in the second half.
Barossa played to tall up forward and killed Centrals in the air.
They also played the big ground well which may suit them this week but I still like the Pies only just.
Not sure that finishing in top spot is still an advantage if you have a bye late in the season your down fall could be a lack of match fitness.
May need to revise the 1st & 2nd semi finals on the same weekend, although Im sure alot don't like Sunday football.

For a team that most thought would decline this year, it was a good effort by Centrals.
Can't see Barossa getting within 4-5 goals of Tanunda, sadly, would be nice to see them get toppled.
King of Smoo, there are plenty 'o' years left in these legs, have got my injury quota out of the way
for at least the next 3 seasons which is a bonus too.

Roger James is the x-factor for mine in this weeks GF, RJ is a seasoned dragon slayer with 2 Torrens Valley scalps and the Brisbane lions mane on the wall of his pool room.

Hats must go off to John Wills, what a sound decision he made 12 months ago.

Lubke to run out of bullets keeping RJ's influence in check and the Barossa Bulldogs to win on Saturday.

I was having a chat with diddles on the weekend about his mail medal and the question was posed what would you rather have, a club best & fairest in a premiership year or a mail medal. I think the answer is obvious what the player would rather have, but what do people think is rated as the higher achievment?
Another question that popped up was i believe Spanagel won the medal in 03 but green won the B&F and we were wondering who won the club B&F in the 1986 premiership year? Hopefully won of the ango posters will know the answer. Was it Miles?

I have heard a rumour that the Mcleans are heading back to the Donnybrooks along with Jeremy Johncock and another that the name has slipped me.
