There was no indication he was going to do what he did after the game on Saturday. He has now played his last game for Two Wells and will never be welcomed back into the club again, Two Wells has worked hard to stamp out this element and after the crap the club has copped this year, this was the last straw. The club met with the League during the B grade grand final, I understand the kid has been reported and hopefully gets suspended from all games for at least a season so he understands that the behaviour is totally unacceptable to football.

I also believe U17s coach apologised to the Balaklava lads after he tore a new one to his own team - be assured Two Wells does not condone or accept that behaviour from its players - players that want to put the club up in a poor light are not welcome.

I also trust the Balaklava lad that copped the treatment is okay and continues to play football.

Thanks Jumbo, that is great work from your club to confront the situation straight away.

Tim Shepherd was the Pecker player on the receiving end, he is a very promising player was in the best in the GF and kicked 3 goals. He has another year left in senior colts (turned 16 on Sunday) so hopefully keeps going.

I would just like to know one thing. How can umpires that had been dropped to juniour football Obviously because they are no where near the standard of A Grade football. This league is a absolute disgrace when it comes to umpires. For finals they should atleast look at talking to the Baroossa league or SAAFL about supplying un biased and more than likely better umpires. Even when these guys are consistent they are consitently shit.

Reports back from Doug Tallboy and many unbiased supporters at the ground was the umpiring was the best they seen in an A grade grand final for many years.

I rate this Jumbo. Well done to Two Wells if the above is true! Just a pity for everyone that it had to come to that.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

 Go the umps did the supporters that gave the feed back have seeing eye dogs? lol, anyway I was talking about the whole season, i was just a little dissapointed from what i had seen this year with the umpires and especially having one of the two no names mentioned, i think we all know who this is doing the A grade grand final. Decisions where both teams and the other field umpire look have a look of confusion and disbelief.

What happened with Niklaus' last shot at goal, that initially was ruled a goal by big Lowey, then BJ over-ruled him apparently? When all who had a good view of it thought it was a goal, including the kicker? Important decision by the sounds! But that's footy. Mallala have certainly had their share of luck this season, but that's what is often needed to get it done.

Na Jack I was standing right under the post next to Lowey and his first instinctive movement was his hand across his chest to rule it a behind, he never ruled it a goal, thus BJ did not influence the decision at all, which is how it should be. Its as clear as day on the video too. Thankfully you make your own luck and the fact that Mallala missed 6 gettable shots in the first qtr would suggest Virginia had their fair share of luck in the early stages of the game. Lets be honest, Nicklaus was 15 metres out straight in front and if you cant put them through the middle from there, it would suggest the occasion got to him slightly. The fact he celebrated was more about deferring the attention of the kick itself IMHO.

On a seperate note, the Mallala boys ventured to the Wheatsheaf Hotel at Virginia yesterday afternoon. We were made very welcome and by the Virginia FC president and a few of the senior players and the postie, BTR and Greg Phillips put a TAB up for an hour or so as well. They were all extremely humble in defeat and thankfully the afternoon was spent in great spirit. Credit to the Virginia FC, my personal opinion and perception and the perception of many other punters around our league of the Virginia FC has certainly changed for the better over the past 2 seasons.

Definitely agree about the Rams, we get on very well with them. And as you would know doubt be aware SD, I'm only going on what I heard as I was at Willaston watching the other mighty magpies in Tanunda do a number on Barossa Districts. And Lister do a number on poor Newbs as well! Sounds like I have to have a word with my informants!

Congratulations to you and your team Swampy, I think it's fair to say that you've created an era of your own now, certainly something to be proud of in years to come. =D>

A realistic account of that goal is 35-40 out, on a slight angle. Lowe's account was, he thought the ball traveled over the post. yet his body movement(upper body leaning goalward ) indicate the ball swinging back, wind assisted and the natural left foot swing. There must be video of the goal? Mallala had the week off come in fresh, the rams had no dout that you guys would be full of running and the presure applied by virginia was the cause of missed opertunities. was always the case of stick with them early and slowly peg them back. OOOOHHHH SO CLOSE :( WELL DONE GUYS As & Bs. Some funny guy's at pub.

Theres no doubt it was bloody close, and lets be honest, I have seen them paid as goals before rightly or wrongly. I'd say that if Nicklaus was an extra 5 metres out I think that natural swing you talk about would have brought it back through in time no worries. Somehow I think Virginia will be at the top for a while to come in next few years.

Really good win for the boys and unlucky for Virginia, in a 1 point game it all comes down to luck really, could have all been a different story so easily With even a little thing like the ball bouncing wrongly for us into Virginias lap but we will take it, feel for them guys we know what it's like to be so close and just miss out. It will make the next one sweeter and I'm sure withing the next few years they will have many more grand final games. Well done boys, bad luck to Virginia.

Any truth to the rumour the two wells lad got followed home by the police and maybe charged with assualt or something like that?

Any one seen the points allocation for next year? I will see if I can track it down at some stage today. I heard they were allocated by the board on Tuesday night!

Any news on the tribunal outcome of the Two Wells kid Jumbo? Or havn't they had it yet?

Also been told that the league has reported 2 or 3 other players from the U/17 GF after watching the video!

1 from each team was also cited off video. The hearings were last night but i have not heard the outcome yet. I will try to find out the outcome. As for points system i thought it was not in next year.

Points allocated to each club for next year:
Balaklava - 8
Hamley - 15
Hummocks - 10 (although I beleive this should be 9 based on the formula used)
Mallala - 7
Two Wells - 10
United - 10
Virginia -11
