I've heard the perpetrator has been banned for life from the Roosters, and banned for a year by the APFL tribunal. Apparently a Tassell I think, has been suspended for 10 games? Didn't he win the association medal? Not sure about any other suspensions.

What does everyone think about the penalties handed down? I know a year sounds a lot in theory (and kudos to the Two Wells Football Club for their punishment), but it's not much out of a senior colt's career. I'd like to see a rule where they can say a year or until your victim returns to football, whichever is the longer. If young Shippo chooses not to play footy again (and who could blame him if he didn't), then the idiot doesn't play again either.

Just to clear it up Jack - Luke Tassell won the U17s Assoc Medal. He and a Balaklava lad got into a rumble after the final siren - it was caught on video and both players went to the tribunal. Tassel received 10 games, 4 suspended - has never been reported before, doubt he ever would again - he is not a fighter (before this incident anyway) and I don't ever recall him being in any incidents on the field this past 5 years.

The kid Beefy, that attacked the Shepherd lad has been banned by the TWFC and by the league. I agree, give him life, football doesn't need players that behave like that.

Who was the Balaklava player reported? and what suspension did he get?

Big night at Two Wells last night - Tallan Leighton takes home the Norm Najar Medal for the Best & Fairest for the Roosters. 200 people at the Black tie affair to hear what some are calling the best acceptance speech ever. Ben Spiteri comes a close second after an excellent season.

Well done to everyone involved

A fantastic night was held at Two Wells Community Centre last night, with Two Wells Football & Netball Clubs Senior Presentation 'The Redlow' Congratulations to Tallan Leighton for winning the A-Grade Best and Fairest and well done to the runner up Ben Spiteri. Also congratulations to the 2010 APFL Reserves medallist Nathan Applebee who took out the Reserves Best and Fairest while Lachlan Franklin was runner up.

The night ended on interesting point with discussion about the possibility of changing Two Wells jumper from the red and white stripes back to an all red jumper with a white V for season 2011 which is the cententary year of the Two Wells Football Club. A similar jumper was worn as a once off by the A-Grade in Round 5 this year against Balaklava with the jumpers auctioned off as part of the player auction and the jumper was very popular. A move to the Red jumper with white V is a great idea and can only be seen as a positive for the footy club.

Goodluck to Woodville-West Torrens Jarred Allmond in today's SANFL Preliminary Final. Jarred featured in the best players in the Eagles win over Glenelg in the 1st semi final last Sunday. The Eagles will be aiming for their first grand final appearance since their Premiership win in 2006.

Have any other clubs held their Best & Fairest counts over the weekend?

After yesterday amazing finish to the AFL Grand Final with a draw between Collingwood v St Kilda, what happens if the APFL A-Grade Grand Final finishes in a draw? Do they play extra time or do u have to come back the next Saturday and play a re-play? I know a few years ago the BL&G changed their rule from a replay to extra time to avoid having to come back the next Saturday and clash with the AFL Grand Final. The look on the faces of the Collingwood and St Kilda players and the stunned crowd after the final siren, I reckon the AFL along with local and state leagues might be having a quick look at their drawn grand final rules over the summer. Least we can have another Grand Final barbie :D

Tom Lloyd was the Pecker player, received 6 games (all suspended) for initiating the melee by slinging a Two Wells player to the ground at the final siren.

While we are on about B&F winners, Heath Pym won ours and Adrian Mills was runner up. Kym Jarman won the B Grade.
