Tanunda too strong today. Wouldn't let Barossa settle and if the Dogs made the most of their early chances things may have been different. Tanunda's Ruckman was dominant around the ground with his aerial display.

Interesting rumours around though that after 3 successive flags and a tight budget with no points, GH is preparing to swoop on the Magpies starting with one of their stars who played juniors at TV.
I am pretty sure A kennedy played for torrens valley for 1 or 2 years in juniors. Not sure if anyone else from tanunda played there also though.

Not saying king hits are what the games about, but 10mins is a good result, and let the game go on! Well done on a great spectacle BL&G.

ftandsq, I have to agree with you on the day, Willaston oval was in great shape with all the rain we have had over the past 2-3 weeks. South Gawler also put on a good day. Now it's time to hear all the story's about players and coaches moving & coming in. Let the fun start.
If I see it I say it.

Not like Lizard to smack blokes around in a GF!!!!!
He has a previous record on that front.
Much kudos to the big fella for still going around at such a good level of footy though.

For Neutral Observers, Listers Big Hit was the highlight of a Dull Match. In defence of Lister it wasn't a Dirty King Hit, Newberry stood toe to toe, unfortunately for him, he picked the wrong bloke. The old fella though should have been sent to the showers though.

Certainly wasn't suggesting it was dirty, just suggesting the big fella loves a stoush.
Particularly in GFs.
Looking through old photos of Loxton's 96 flag I can recall a photo of Lizard with blood streaming down his face. It was certainly on that day.

Will The Lizard go back to do a number on the AK47?
Don't expect Roger Ramjet to have it all his own like in HFL.

Don't normally like to blow my own bags, but 2.5/3 aint bad.
Would want my hard aren’t back if I paid to see Lizzard v Newberry.
Hear it was over faster than the Tyson v Peter "Hurricane" McNeeley fight.
Bit like the school yard bully picking on the computer nerd!
Did hear it was worth 8-10 weeks, although Lister went out in a bang he's in the departure lounge anyway.

I don't think that was Listers only hit for the day. Seem to recall one in the first quarter, a quick elbow on the western wing.

I'm sorry DW, but the last thing I expected to read after witnessing Lister's dirty, unprovoked attack (sorry FW, Newbs didn't even know he was in a fight until he hit the ground) was "Much kudos to the big fella". Absolute disgrace. :-q

I think he deserves kudos for still playing at that level.
I'm not giving him kudos for the dust up.

Fair enough DW! But having only seen him play once (Saturday), what impression do you think I'm left with? I think sometimes people forget that when they do these things. We have one of our players who has a rep for similar things, and after his last suspension he made a speech before the game he missed telling us how much it bothers him to be known as that type of player. Of course the proof will be in the pudding, but I wonder if Lister feels the same way? I'm guessing not. Is it true that he's a black belt in a form of martial arts?

I also thought the umpiring was pretty good except for the Lister King Hit. It was like watching a grown man beat up a kid, quite simply Newberry wasn't expecting the two punches to the head.

Hill from Torrens Valley been offered 2000 per game at Kaniva
Cooper from Kingston offered same deal plus 5000 to sign on
Kaniva spent 200,000 plus last year and will be even more in 2011
There is some other names that have and will be approched
Information is correct as i got it from their Football Director who was at the BLG Grand Final, watching and gathering info on players, sees that there is a few he is after there

Willaston had their count out of the way the week after the minor round was completed. Sam Walton was a country mile ahead of the rest.
