Re: Spencer Gulf League
Cella Dwella,
To be honest, the story has not been settled. The rumour that your heard is one that has been floated around. It was pretty embrassing to be honest, I know the Centrals players felt that way as it took the gloss off the game. The cops are currently dealing with it so I will wait until more comes out before commenting further.

Id be happy enough to see bob go around again - when its all said and done he has got us almost back on track, so stability is pretty important right now me thinks! Unless you know of a better applicant Bobby the Brain and are prepared to name them mate.

Northern Areas forum had something about Woolford and Centrals back a bit I think. Isn't he meant to be working up there? Even so I doubt he would play SGL. Turner has been sounded out by at least 1 Pirie club Im led to believe. Doubt whether he would leave also. Very cuddly and well financed club the old SF.
Keep us posted if this rumour gets some more teeth though because they would both carve up in the SGL!
On another matter, how does the "points system" affect SGL? I am led to believe that you get say 12-15 points as a club and if someone moves into town or shifts clubs it will cost you 3(?) points! Towns like Pirie get a lot of "blow ins" which could make this very tricky if you get more than 4 or 5 outside recruits. Anyone enlighten me?

Re: Spencer Gulf League
Lion have retained Duck Davies as coach , Ashley Dunkley declined after much pressure from the club officials to coach the A"s but will stick with the 18s. Duck Davies will have Brian (butchy) Smith as his assistant and the B grade coach. Ports coaches have stayed the same at the moment , a lot of talk about port signing players but no real names. One is Trent Hentschel ha ha. a lot of talk of Burford returning.

Re: Spencer Gulf League
Ray Hayes to coach Centrals for a 4th Consecutive year. Pretty good resume, 3 GF appearances, 2 premierships. Trevor Dixon to be his assistant.
Well Done Ryan Struck, will be a tough gig player-coaching but I am sure he will be a good fit for Souths. Not to sure what exactly happened with AA but a rumour suggested he couldn't commit 100% of the season.....
On Wests, I believe Blinman will coach again next year...

Ryan's dad Chris Struck would help out and take more of a role game day I think. As certain people in the club don't want chris struck coaching south a's

Re: Spencer Gulf League
Patrick Byron-Boles wins Centrals B&F from Nick Callary. Not bad for a 16 year old kid.....
Ryan Noll won Westies B&F
Lukich won Souths B&F from Adam Grantham. It reflects that they move from Wests was a good decision.

Lukich had great year unlucky not get madigan as well probably because he is more than a outside runner instead of a in and under player like struck.
