Heard last night that a police helicopter landed on Morphettvale's oval and that the oval was surrounded by police cars during a game on the weekend, can anyone confirm that this happend and does anyone know what the full story is and did the weekend's play finish ?

What grade are you refering to?
If it's the B grade, our players we're defending our club because of comments made by Patto regarding our club.
If it's the A grade, I can't comment coz I wasn't there.

It was the A's Tazz, mainly regarding comments towards a former player of yours.

Spoke to that player last night and he can still sleep at night.
The comment came from one of his mates so there's not much to it.
The umpire that made the report has it in for the bloke that made the comment.

How did Porties go in their twenty20 match last night?

It couldnt be right that the 20/20 cricket final is between Noarlunga and Reynella. OSB and reynella won 2 games each but OSB beat reynella, in every other cricket competition that i have heard about if there is are 2 teams on the same amount of points. It goes by who beat who, and with OSb beating reynella they make it....... apparently not..... any thoughts????

What a croc of shit, any other team except OSB and that team would be playing the final this week but because the league doesn't like OSB they get a raw deal every time! Disgraceful! :evil:

Surely the leage isn't going by run rate????? That is the only thing going for Reynella as the Lions beat them in their contest and also have a superior net run rate.

If they are, then it disadvantages the team chasing runs as they don't get to bat out their full quota of overs once passing an opponents score.

I surely hope that the Lions follow through with some sort of investigation into why Reynella made it through over them. Just doesn't seem fair.

Have to agree with you junior. Looks like the league once again found another way to rape the Lions. And Reynella, well it seems everytime they are defeated by the Lions (and its happening quite often now) they whinge about something to justify their loss. Anyone remember the crowd behaviour issue from last season? The Lions were made out to be the bad guys once again just because they have passionate supporters and Reynella lost the match.

Junior and Bassplayer,firstly,welcome to the site.Might I just give you some advice on how the site here works.Some of us (moderators) read all the forums and any of the material posted by users in there deemed to be 'excessive' lets say,is talked about amongst the moderators and if required,deleted.The site Admin also has the ability to ban users,so use the site and enjoy it,just watch how you go with language,comments about other club's/people.

Spoke to league president last night and he confirmed that it's worked out on runs for and runs against. Wickets and overs don't count for a thing.
Like you say we passed Reynellas score with 4 overs to go. I think we passed M/Vales score with 2 overs to spare and lost to Cove with 1 ball left.
We missed out by about 0.1%.
If thats how they work it out, sides batting second should be able to bat out their 20 overs.

Cant do nothing about it this season but we can get this rule changed in the future if we approach the league with a better concept.
That's what Bilney told me.

I watched most of the 20/20 games and the first person to start walking off when the game was over was the umpire..... Just like with the ladders and the program the league is well behind again...... No matter what team you follow, very frustrating!!!!

the correct info is we beat Morphies with 4 overs left and Reynella with 7 balls left
