Oh how times have changed with the likes of former players at clubs as this man was great for the Shoes in the 80's, their siblings going everywhere but not coming home to the club where they started

Mister Footy wrote:Crow Man I dunno who you are but the guy that coached the U14s in 2009 wasnt given a coaching job at Valleys probably due to the number of complaints that he got. Steve Davenport who coached the U16s this year had to put up with alot of residual garbage because of him and to get them to a prelim final and beat the top team (Brighton) in the semi's was a good job really...

As for our 14s this year Mick Ruddock did a great job and won a flag at the same time as DEVELOPING players - the guy from 2009 didnt do this. The Sunday side also made the GF and lost in narrow margin to Brighton who have an interesting Sunday side

But Crowman I will agree Rod Mitchell is a big loss to Valleys and wish him the best of luck at Flaggies

Mr Footy i happen to know fact that the u/14s coach had two complaints from parents whom thought there son should have been in the sat side. The coach gave every player the opportunity to play sat football. Also dont forget the u/14s sunday side in 2009 also lost the grandfinal to brighton by a small margin. The coaches in 2009 did a fantastic job in regards to DEVELOPING thats why the u14s of 2010 won the flag dont forget those boys were 2nd year u/14s. Yeah the sat coach may not have been popular with a few players but is a coach there to be loved???? I say no. The coach had the total respect from every sat player as i am a father of one. In 2010 the coach didnt have the respect that the 2009 coach had.

Well Crowman you can think that if you like but I reckon there were far more than 2 complaints about this coach and dont know how you can say he had the respect of every parent - how would you know that?? Isnt this also the same guy that one of these parents took a swing at when he tried to interupt the current coach at a qtr time address this year? He certainly didnt have the respect of the whole club - spending 45 minutes every Sat night to give out his awards at presentations - if that wasnt the biggest ego trip I dunno what is....

Dont really think there were that many 2nd year 14s in the team that won the flag this year and Mick Ruddock had alot of respect from the team, parents and the club - I dont know him very well but he seemed to be very humble which the other guy wasnt.

Your right the coach isnt there to be loved but he also shouldnt be there for the wrong reasons - hey if he is so keen to coach and thinks he is up to it then tell him to apply for a job this year and let the committee decide

Mr Footy

I happen to be on the comittee if you really must know. I know fact there were two written complaints. The reason he didnt get re-appointed was his inability to advance u/14s through to u/16 level . The coach explained his reasons at the end of year debrief. Lets also not forget the recruiting the coach did. Hey im not saying im a huge fan. But he won a premiership. Glad to hear that you would want him to re-apply. As a coach i rate him the rest is left to the individual.

Well Crowman if you were at the presentations you would have seen that the in joke for most of the club was to time him and without fail he would take twice as long as the A grade coach each week - now it is all good to praise kids but the week he did take 45 mins at pressos was laughable
You say you're a club member for 15 years, had a son that played in this guys team in U14s in 2009 and on the committee but I asked around and there isnt anyone on the committee that fits that description so are you sure you arent this supercoach pumping up his own ego again?

Mr Footy

you obiviously have a problem with this coach. I know who you are and i cant tell you im definatley not the super coach. Keep searching. Better you try and support the club instead of making waves within the club like you have done on numerous occassions. No more said on the matter. And for your information my son did play in 2009 and 2010.
