I forced a Mitchell Park batsman in Section 2 (official umpire) to remove it or put it on the inside.
I could have been wrong, the umpire didnt know but made him take it off.
Is it legal or should just be banned anyway because it looks pathetic?
Gee mate, that's a bit pedantic, if the player wants to look like a rabbit, let him.

I dont wear a thigh pad, but i know if it was brought up during a match and i was on either the fielding or batting side my response would be the same: "how about we just get on with the game"

It adds character to hand over a trophy to the opposition after you lose, and it was unfortunate that this was not done.
I can pass this onto the cricket director and have this presented to you guys in the most appropriate way possible. The bloke it was named after deserves it, and this time round you blokes deserve it too.
It is important that Plympton v Morphies continue the trophy, i know we have a lot of banter on here but generally its all in a bit of fun. Especially for a couple of clubs that, to be honest, haven't brought home a whole heap of silverware in section one of late, its good to play for something and get that intense finals-like feeling going.Tubby wrote:Jabber / Plympton Forum users,

No response i see as to how your team mates carried on after the game?
Must be proud of that behaviour.
oh cmon
twat is name calling?? seriously!
how do you reckon you would carry on with something as petty as that in a section 4 game
ive played plenty of cricket in my life and at alot higher level and have seen worse things handled alot better than that.
if we carried on that bad why didnt they report anyone?
telling them they were unsportmanlike and that we wouldnt shake hands not a big deal i wouldnt think.
anyway life goes on
Who is the Belair captain in question Brad.Man.?
If you want to go quickly, go alone.
If you want to go far, go together.

Regardless of how bad a decision was, surely you can't expect batsmen to walk on LBW decisions?

Re: Adelaide and Suburban Cricket Association 2010/11
Who on earth would walk on an LBW decision?
And what bowler in ASCA actually expects to get an LBW decision?
It baffles me when bowlers throw thier arms up in the air, wicket keepers stand with hands on hips, and captains are shaking heads after LB's are turned down. I reckon you need to be almost straddling the stumps witht he ball hitting your ankle on the full before i'll cry foul of an LB decision.
1. When you have a proper umpire sometimes they come out with the most bewildering decisions on LB, i'd rather them not give any of them. The first thing you do when you have a proper ump is appeal for everything, because you've got no idea what kind of decision they are going to come up with.
2. If you are umpiring yourself you know that its going to have to be extremely plum to get the decision, if you dont get it, then move on.

Who said he should walk, the umpire should have been a man instead of a pussy and gave it out, its was that plumb! Both of them were. Apparently hitting below the knee roll of a batsman wearing keeping pads is too high. What a freaking joke.
How about when you play a cut shot and absolutely smash it with the edge to the keeper and dont walk because the umpire is young kid.
Hope you enjoy the 1 point guys. You ******* deserved it.

Where did I mention an LBW in my post? Sure there were a couple questionable decisions re LBW but I was referring to a caught behind decision.

Happened in the SCA, early 80's Jabber.
I'm sure you can appreciate what Paul Kinnear was bowling like at the time.
He was the bowler in question, the batsman from Porties shall remain anonymous on here but he's still reminded of it every year.

Get your facts right mate, the captain was asked if the presentation was going ahead and seeing most of the Plympton lads had left to go home and have a shower etc the decision was made not to have it....Nothing about where is the trophy.....you got a good reliabe source there mate.

Not at all my friend. Just making a point is all.
PS: I also had some discussions on Sunday a person involved during that game (RE: our convo) and will take this to the committee. The response i got on Sunday was inexcusable, embarrassing and unacceptable.

I don't think the BBW from Saturday counts AF.
