Re: Cover Hits for better or worse
Yeah the whole Metallica Garage Inc. Has great covers.
Turn the Page, Tuesday's Gone & Whiskey in the Jar are better versions than the original, never heard the other originals.
2 great versions, but I like Knocking on Heavens Door by the Gunners better than Dylan.
Kid Rock - Legs I like better than ZZ Tops.
Club Noveau had the best version of Lean on Me.
Creed did a great Live version of Roadhouse Blues at Woodstock '99, with the Doors guitarist.

Winning isn't everything, it's the only thing.

Can't disagree with this at all!
Also with my current love of Ska punk, I must throw up the name of the Reel Big Fish as well.

Just played this Zeppelin cover by accident, and didn't think it was bad at all (granted I am musically challenged) ..

I'd never heard of this group until now (been around since the early 80s!).
Very heavily influenced by Zeppelin to point of releasing an entire tribute album.
Anyway that track is a very close reproduction of the original studio version, including almost identical Robert Plant vocals.

Straight cover, but pretty damn good one.
Song itself has one of the best intros ever.
