Have heard from a good source that Chris Mclean has signed with United in APFL to play with cousin Michael.
They'd want to hope like hell they get more games out of him than his last club, lucky to have played 8 full games in 2 seasons. He breaks down getting changed so pay him by the quarter,he won't like the idea but be a lot cheaper for the club .
I was at the Bushmans friday night and was told from a reliable source that in Mcleans negotiations with Willaston he was asking for a contract for the season, i.e no weekly payments just a lump sum to cover the season regardless of how many games he played. Willaston wouldnt play ball so United it is by the sounds of it.
Is there other clubs out there doing this with players? Clubs must have too much money if they are locking average players into these contracts. Fair enough if you have to do this to get an absolute gun ie ex afl or league footballer acroos the line.
