Is there other clubs out there doing this with players? Clubs must have too much money if they are locking average players into these contracts. Fair enough if you have to do this to get an absolute gun ie ex afl or league footballer acroos the line.

Well that would not surprise me one bit! Probably wanted hospital & ambulance cover too!

ps; be prepared for a pm from the little bloke telling you to "grow up"!

My info from out that way is he would/will NEVER go back to that club, something big must have happened.[/quote]

have heard that Matt Golddig has signed with Sturt. Also, what is the Tanunda problem with points, wouldnt the guys they have had for the last 3 years be 0 pointers anyway ? Why is this jeopardising them keeping 5 players as reported in the Bunyip this week ?
How old is Britton anyway ?

Yeah, the big fella wanted to have one more crack at SANFL,
understandable. Will be missed both on and off the field.

The Ango steam may have missed an opportunity and about to derail. With Duldig gone, I can assume a big chance that Bennett won't be back. Harvey and Dawes retiring and Bain going OS.

He has had a few tricks up his sleeve for the last 2 years. And been left with a big fat nothing. Over stacked side that is meant to be the bees knees. Worth zero.

Worth nothing? speak to any Tanunda player about which team they have feared the most over the last 2 seasons,
and 98% will say Angaston, and of the other 2%, 1% is Billy Wells because I cant understand what he is saying,
and 1% is AK47 because he wouldn't stop talking about himself long enough to answer the question.
2010 was derailed with injuries, the side didn't have the best side on the park ONCE all year.
Is at least part of the reason anyway, and the players know we missed a big chance.
Sadly, now, it does look like there will be a few players leaving for other opportunities,
but from talking to a few other guys from other clubs I dont think we will be the only team with an exodus.

Excuses, Excuses Stewie. You are going to have to expect some heat here as you guys talked youselves up big time before the season got started and right up to the end.

Big question is whether the Blocky outfit is going to hold up, some big names having a crack at the higher level (good on them). Not too sure how the point system works but it sounds as though they have nothing to work with. Do all sides get the same points?

It was meant to be an excuse.
It was a definite factor in us falling short of potential.
True though, the buzz around Ango in February last year turned out to be short lived.

All the tricks in the world wont cover the budget deficit left in the wake of 2010. Billies with a quick fall from grace.

With the vines finally starting to dry up in the barossa hills 2011 the GC tigers might finally be poised to play a grand final under the astute coaching of dawe who has deferred an offer from Kevin to join GWS until 2012.

there was more hype about angaston last preseason than there is the gold coast now.

however to be fair they $pent up to have a try at tanundas mantle (and who can blame them with blokes like kent kingsley are putting their hand up to play) and they failed.... the lesson is, never try.

We all know that being the most feared team in the comp is worth absolute peanuts if you aint in the big dance at the end of the year to put your money where your mouth is. Yea maybe you did have some injury trouble but which team doesnt. The way the talk was going on here late last year or early this year you mob would of taken the afl on and won. On that note lets hope to see all teams having another red hot crack at knocking the blockies off come 2011.
