Why is this year different?? Lots of new players or just the new coach and maybe a new attitude will this be the difference?? I hear that the new coach will not take any s*** from anybody and will be tough on the track. Also is very good with juniors coming through.
I think it might have something to do with attitude, the boys would have got a bit of wake up call last year after looking back on a horrid season by thier standards. They definately got a bit ahead of themselves, some would say "brahma lodge like", and it came back and bit them on the bum! Not just players, some of the supporters as well.
I guess if you take Plympton over a 4 year period they are the most consistent of any side that has been in there for 4 years, all of the sides that were more consistent re obviously no longer in this division! So on that alone you would probably have to say that they will be around the mark.
Havign a B Grade side that has won the last three flags in Div 5r would suggest that they are the best equipped with back-up, second tier, or players coming through, on paper. If you understand what i mean. If you look at it subjectively you'd have to put them in the mix.
This isn't me being a 1-eyed plympton supporter, if smithfield or hopevalley or whoever had all of the above they would be on everyones mix also i would have throught and i'd be saying the same thing about them.
Having said all this - pick your premiers in January at your own peril! I haven't even voted!
