I was there, was a TERRIBLE game :( :P

Seriously, cannot believe it was over 18 years ago!!

Woodville had a great side in mid to late 80's, with a little more luck they could have made a day GF.

Great ad. Continuing the tradition of pre-season comps being a great predictor of September success (not), Woodville finished 7th.

Which was at least an improvement on their only other 'premiership' in 1972, as part of the totally weird series which you could only enter if you finished 5th-8th at the end of the minor round (before the final 5 was introduced). Pretty prestigious title, that one, as indicated by the fact that 8th played 7th in the final! I wonder how many people showed up to watch those games?

I still got fond memories of the 1992 Foundation Cup
(Cigarette sponsors got given the arse by then!)
Glenelg's seniors last piece of silverware where they beat
the Double Blues by 60 points! :D

...Bay supporters love living in the past eh!

Actually, 38,000 at the final - the games were curtain raisers to the proper finals.
