Certainly not the fashion that it used to be; I guess carrying on of family names is not seen as being as important as it once was. I can't think of one since Bruce Winter (and he was born in 1953).

Some of the better-known ones not already mentioned are A. Robert (Bob) McLean - Norwood and Port; V. Terry Short - Sturt; H. Bruce McGregor - West MM and first Glenelg premiership coach; F. Neil Davies - Glenelg captain-coach.

The F in F. Dennis Errey stands for Frederick, after his father, who played for South.

Thanks MB. :) However, there is a response somewhere in this forum which answered David Bruce Winter. On a slightly different tangent, it would be interesting to see some of the more unusual middle names that players might have. When you consider Stuart Charles Glyndwr MacGill or Matthew Thomas Gray Elliott, it would have to correspond to footballers as well. Like Neil Passmore Craig.
