Goat, Duck,

Have Guarantees from The 2 Mythbusters (Timm & Vines) that they are available for the earlier matches. Ill put my hand up for the late match if you cant fill the spots with guys who have put in at trainings and the carnival etc.

Ive also got access to a decent sized bbq we use for work functions if needed.

Let me know if any help is need with logistics ie. picking stuff up, meat, drinks etc.

Vinesy.

Guys, perhaps pm wycbloods for an "industrial sized" bbq ( he may have it available - perhaps see if he can help ) and he may also rustle up some players / a team from Western Youth Centre in the Adelaide Suburban comp...
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

It might be a good idea also if anybody works or knows someone that works at Sports power or the cricket warehouse to donate the balls.

Who will the money go to directly after it is all counted? I have full trust in all people involved but on the other end i am not that sure...you always hear of stories of money not getting to where it is meant to go...how about we get hold of today tonight and donate the money directly to a couple of kids and families that have lost love ones and there houses? Am i over reacting or is there others out there that feel the same?

Depends what we get.

Apart from money that is raised, im sure we can also make it a drop off point for clothes to be donated, as well as cans of food for both people and animals. That way not only are we getting money in for the people but basic supplies aswell, toothpaste, soap etc.

If everyone brings 2 cans that they have at home we could raise a serious amount of food for everyone too.

I am going to be giving some contacts to Duck Man from Mix 102.3 so we can maybe get them involved, they would have already be aligned with a charity for the flood disaster you would think, we could pass on the goods to them so we know they are going into good hands.

Think we should charge each player $10 or something, i mean they are getting a playing shirt at cap as well so not a bad deal.

6 teams of 12 = 72 x $10 per head = $720.00

Handy start just there.

Also agree with OKC, people should grab couple of tins of food or something to bring and have a drop off point, perhaps the salvos or one of the churches would be willing to come and set up a drop off point?

Perhaps someone from a local organisation assisting might be able to help in collecting everything. Not sure which SA based charities would be working with those in QLD, but no doubt someone will be.

They were saying out there at the shoot that there will be a $20 fee for your shirt and hat... so good idea, but theirs was twice as good. :)
