even with those losses if they keep williams martinello and a few others they will go ok in div 5. maybe not premiership contenders but certainly hold their own i would think.

Sorry to revert to the Cats of the north again and I hope the doors stay open, the club's truggeld arguably since the split from teh old CDFL days which IMO were sensational! The north's version of the SFL but alot better in terms of rivalry and standard from top to bottom ahhhhhhh the old days.

ANYWAY

If you don't pay players then what happened with Kim Herman last season?

I heard Mickan, Corbett and 2 other onballers. That was from a Lockleys player. He also said there were some lads from the country looking at settling in adelaide and they were hopeful they would sign with them. That was back in November though...

Yes i am sure, he wanted a sign on fee, he had been out of the game for a while and was unfit, someone (not the club) was keen to have him out there and was willing to give some incentive if he was going to be an asset, he played a couple of games and stopped playing.

So you'd clear him if he only played a couple then?

Stevie Taylor and Josh Considine going around again? Taylo = smooth.

Had a cry? It was a misinterpretation of what was written, i acknowledged that and then Jabber said "Smithfield can go **** themselves" that was where I got p!ssed off, I had just finished writing that I accepted that he wasn't having a go.
Excuse me for being a little passionate about a club that I've been involved with for 30+ years, I wouldn't dare criticise any other club going through a bit of sh!t.

Who knows, not my decision and I don't know if there was anything in writing, my understanding would be that he'd have to be financial to get cleared, like I said "The club pays no one".
Stevo has been to every training, Josh is weighing up whether he can play this season or not.

honestly mate i have always had the upmost respect for smithfield, played some tough gmes against you guys, always hard.. the way footy should be played... i read that post before i read the rest. so i apologise for that.. i honestly hoope everything works out for the best for you guys... been there and its awful and scarey. been at PFC for my whole life and i was very scared.... its more then just a club, its part of your life... so i sincerly hope it goes good...

Tails is a good man and hopefully a captain?
If Herrmann didnt play enough to qualify for finals then you surely cant expect him to be unfinancial can you so then a clearance should be straight forward.
Like I said, just asking a question as I was told he recieved a handsome amount in cash/gold bullion/etc only to do a houdini? So I will stand/sit corrected.

I'm probably a little touchy atm on the whole thing and it was as though the situation was treated as a bit of a joke, I have never bagged another club in any of my 8000+ posts, I do see a lot of similarity between Plympton and Smithfield and yeah, I did take Jabber's initial comment the wrong way in hindsight, done and dusted now. Good Luck to all clubs and hopefully we can work something out.

Herrmann played a handful of games in the 2's, I would strongly doubt he would've taken some cash and split, especially considering who the person that was willing to help him out was.
