I see that there are 2 fixtures on the 2nd of April this year in the SFL. For those clubs that arent not commencing that week are there any that would be interested in playing a trial match v Goolwa/Port Elliot at Goolwa Oval on that day? We have had a cancellation and would be looking to play junior grades and a seperate A and B match. PM if interested

Heard a whisper that Big Dave was seen meeting with Matt Dent. Maybe looking for an Assistant's role at Valley?

Have you heard anything on those lines, Fly?

Think the talk is more about Evans referring players to Dent rather than acting as his assistant - he already has an assistant - guy who helped out at Cove last year - dont know his name

I believe that an Onkas midfielder with league experience will be signing on with Happy Valley in the coming days........

This would be an ex townies player & its still not 100% if onkas will release him to them.... He signed a 2 year contract with Onkas...

Haven't spoken to him since the news coming out of onka's... But I do know Dent & Evo are good mates & they see each other every sunday.. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he is somewhere in the development at valleys... Wether he can bring the recruits is another story..

You looking forward to round 1 Mirror? Should be a cracker of a game!

Not sure if this has been discussed earlier ( I am only new :D ) but I heard a rumour that the SFL was trying to put together some sort of SFL team of the century. Apparently they asked all clubs to submit their own team of the century for their respective clubs and then they were going to pick a league one from that.

Does anyone know anything about this or have I been taken for a ride?

If true, Geez that would be a massive job and very hard to pick respective clubs team let alone one for the whole of SFL.
I wonder who would be on such a panel and how they would differentiate between players from different eras? ( especially from players 70-80 years ago against current era players that are fresh in the panels minds)

It would also be hard to be involved without some biased to the club you played for/supported.

I wonder how many players from each decade would represent this team?

As I said it may not be true, but could cause some good discussion on this site as well I thought.
