Re: clipsal 500!!!
I'll be there on the Friday...
Not really into the V8's but work has a corporate box and I have 3 invitations for customers for a whole day of free food and alcohol
I love it that I'll be getting paid to entertain clients and get drunk
Any of you guys want to be my customer - have 1 spare ticket left at this stage

Brock straight gold for me, standard, not too sure if I'll head out on the Thursday yet though, but certainly the other 3 days.

Re: clipsal 500!!!
Nothing like the smell of v8's in the morning.
Cannot wait go all four days sit in the straight.
Would love to see Frosty win it. Was great in Abu Dhabi to see other blokes up the front like Bright and Tim Slade. Hope that happens at Clipsal too. Also hope 888 and Courtney crash into eachother

If there's one thing that you can almost guarantee, it's that 888 will crash into someone over the weekend... Then flash his big smile to the media and say it wasn't his fault...

Re: clipsal 500!!!
I'd like to take my two boys to watch the racing on the Saturday. They are both under 14 so it looks like they'd get in for free on my trackside ticket.
What are the trackside views of the racing like?
If we don't end up going is the racing telecast on free-to-air TV on the Saturday?

Haven't had a general admission spot since about 2004, but I'd recommend getting there early (like an hour or so before the gates open) if you can do that you should be able to get a spot on one of the public viewing blocks, which are fine, although not the most interesting spots to watch from.

Re: clipsal 500!!!
Cheers Sam. Am leaning towards not going at this stage. I remember the General Admission area for the F1 Grand Prix were great for atmosphere but not for viewing, unless you got there early, found a good spot and stayed there until the race started. Not sure if that is going to work with me and two kiddies. Will probably go the telly option...Sam_goUUUdogs wrote:Haven't had a general admission spot since about 2004, but I'd recommend getting there early (like an hour or so before the gates open) if you can do that you should be able to get a spot on one of the public viewing blocks, which are fine, although not the most interesting spots to watch from.fish wrote:I'd like to take my two boys to watch the racing on the Saturday. Re: clipsal 500!!!
Promoters of the clipsal seriously should be paid double. I know that many people that are going purely for the after race concert . Friday nights line up probably is the best since its begun and should make for a belter night. One of the few events we should be proud to host

Re: clipsal 500!!!
Thinks Fridays concert is an amazing lineup. I think Shihad and Silverchair on a Friday night was probably the best lineup they had. You could not move on CBC oval that night. I reckon that was the biggest crowd I have seen at a Clipsal concert. Powderfinger were pretty amazing when they played as well.
