Good to start some competitive stuff tonight, u think ya gettin pretty fit in pre season until u start the contested stuff.

Lookin forward to our 2 trials

March 12 Vs Kersbrook Away
March 19 Vs Modbury Home

Looking forward to playing the quality sides in Div 4
We have kept most of our 2010 A grade side and gained a few. Including a couple of recent signings.
Michael Taylor and another lad, ...Warrior? (forgotten his name derrrr)Look good on the track and will fit in nicely :)

Good hit out last night at Kilburn - the u23 side were looking remarkably sharp considering the time of year and the heat.

Was too busy gasbagging to pay too much attention to the 2nd game.

Shrek didn't get a kick though

I watched the 1st game also and would have to totally disagree with you..the skills from both sides were deplorable,it was like watching a C grade match!!!
i know it was hot and it is still early in the season but you would expect a team like the SAAFL Under 23's to have better skills than what they showed last night  ,you dont lose that overnight..surely that was a second string side that took the park last night??

One the other hand i watched the first half of the Second match..Kilburn vs Goolwa and would have to say that was a very good standard indeed from both sides!!!

Wouldn't say that as such, I thought they moved the ball very well but we wont talk about some of the kicks for goal in the 2nd half... Given that toward the end of the 2nd half you could see the skills suffering given the heat and I'm not certain but I doubt that would have been the full squad.

I know that some players they wanted were not available injuries, training with league squads etc.

I would say the skills weren't great but were acceptable for this time of year. The thing that surprised me in both games was the pace and intensity. Pretty physical for a trial. A good way to blow some cobwebs out. Was very impressed with the oval, lights, club rooms and the gym

Have heard richie cochrane will suit.up for more than a few eagles games this year, good mate coaching and having played juniors at the eags, how will points be affected? Should be no points if former junior, more than handy pick up

I've heard something similar to that...SAAFL might not have enough teams to have a div 7 comp the way things r going

I'm confused. Are you guys saying they won't carve Kilburn up because they'll be a good unit, or because they won't have enough numbers for two sides?

not sure if its financial or lack of players, but I've heard they wont be in div 4.

The latter - no idea if there is any substance to it but that is what the jungle drums are saying
