Dear Matt Caughthran. Sorry I ripped the buttons from your shirt, but I'd like my balls back now.

Rob Zombie was kick arse, would love to see a longer set of his, geezus he moves well for a 45 yo and he sounded awesome. Chicks showing their titties was a bonus too! lol
Must admit even though I'd listened to Iron Maiden all week and was excited as hell I left a bit early as I was bored/stuffed.
Loved the Gaslight Anthem and thought Feeder were good.
Spewing I missed Pennywise but the bar near that stage was just too packed! lol

Pennywise put on a solid show as per usual. I hung around that bar area afterwards for thirty minutes, but nicked off to a bit of shade.

Thank god Iron Maiden weren't great. Not feeling so bad I couldn't go now. Did Pennywise do Bro Hymn?

Yep, they finish every set with Bro Hymn Tribute. Probably one of the best songs for the day.

I ended up skipping QOTSA because I couldn't be arsed standing in the sun again and wading through a dense crowd to get to a decent viewpoint. Did anyone catch it, whaddya reckon?

Silver lining though, missed QOTSA but caught Rob Zombie and he puts on quite a show. Very entertaining and I'm not even a big fan.

Disappointed in the Social Distortion set, Mike Ness clearly disinterested, but he may have been a little demotivated by the fact that most of the crowd were using the tented arena to chill and catch some z's rather than see an awesome old school punk band at work. That and the scene kids spending the set texting on their phones while standing four back from the barrier

Pennywise rocked out to a big and enthusiastic crowd, got a pretty big circle mosh going too. Melvins were sludgingly awesome and would have almost been set of the day were it not for the band that followed them. Yes, yes, The Bronx put on a helluva show and won't be one I forget any time soon - standing front row, holding up their lead singer as he screams into the microphone. Mental set, absolutely mental. Love it.

Great day apart from that feeling that your sole purpose is to be fleeced of cash anytime you want a drink or a feed.

We ended up taking the black and gold one litre water bottles in and filled with vodka and put on the black home brew caps with the seal. Got on the beer for first half of the day and then the rest of the day we smashed vodka slushies.

I actually spent a lot less than expected but that was mainly because of the lineups for food and ordinary selection of alcohol. Oh and not having to pay for a taxi, thank you Ian! :D

My mates lad ( 15 ) walked out with the signed drum skin from Nicko! Lucky little prick. I think the bloke wrestling with him thought he couldn't pinch something like that off of a little kid....for 15 he is very, very small.

Pennywise real good, Primus a bit of a let down, didn't play much up beat festiavl type music, QOTSA ok, once the sound got sorted and by the time Iron Maiden came on I was fairly well slaughtered and I'm sure I enjoyed their set.

Must have been standing no more than 5 people away from him- 2 of those skins did late turns which denied MatteeG having a fly at them!

I had my doubts, but Zoli makes a pretty good frontman. Doesn't sound markedly different either.

Didnt really notice too much of a difference to be honest. Their biggest difference was Fletcher who has lost a huge amount of weight, and it seemed he has taken over more of a band leader role, regularly talking between songs, which I don't remember him doing much of in the past.

WOOT!! heres a brief rundown of my event
• Joined in the circle pit at Pennywise to start off the day. They were excellent!
Ate some chips on a stick
• Journeyed to the other end right up the front to watch Primus (sacrificed gang of four), Claypool was amazing but they were a bit boring.
Wandered back to the stage 3 & 4 area where I spent the rest of the time. Bar was close, dunnys close, not too crowded, shade, heaps of crew that I knew, Great Bands, Great times.
• Social Distortion! Just loved the meloncholy laid back So-Cal punk. Danced around with plenty of space & I still have their tunes ringin' in my head.
• Slayer were brilliant!!! I mean what can you say?
• Rob Zombie was good too, mind you I was socializing, not paying too much attention. Sounded great, looked great.
• Melvins - **** amazing!!! double drummers and mind blowing intensity. Great SHa Na Na ending.
Whatched a couple of Bronx songs, but thought I better go check out Maiden. Got all the way there watched a couple of songs, then wished I'd stayed over @ The Bronx & F****d up.
Started to head back,... but they played 'Number of the beast ' so I blew a doob & stayed till the end. They were good, but thought I may as well just watched flight666 again on DVD.

Went over to The Squatters afterwards and saw a band called Burn Collect. They were Brilliant!

Awesome event the old Soundwave!
Half the fun really is gettin' loose and catchin' up with crew.
Yeah, Naah,..... Bollocks!

Rob Zombie was my highlight of the day! He was awesome, the band was tight, and the imagery on the TV screens was horrific and funny at the same time! Played some White Zombie classics and did them proud - all that was missing was the smoking hot bass player from the White Zombie days!

Slayer were awesome as well.

Im not the biggest Pennywise fan but their set was great and the vocalist sounded fairly similar to the original bloke i thought. LOL my mate came out of the Pennywise mosh bleeding profusely from the head, and his t-shirt was completly ripped in half - tough times considering their set finished at about 1:30pm in the arvo!

Biggest disappointment for me was Sevendust - their set list was a little average, and the sound was awful- Lajon started singing and the microphone wasnt even on - this went on for near 3-5 minutes!

Also i didnt think too much of Stone Sour, and remember thinking Corey should stick to Slipknot!

Did any one see Primus? My brother and I had a bet to see if they would actually play the Southpark theme at all, but we left pretty early on - can anyone provide any closure?!

Iron Maiden were great IMHO! Tho after such a long day its hard to listen to anyone for 2 hours, would have liked to see that tall freaky alien thing on stage for longer as well!

Top festival IMHO
