I've just seen the telly schedule for next saturday and the Clipsal is on channel 7 all afternoon. That seals my decision.fish wrote:Cheers Sam. Am leaning towards not going at this stage. I remember the General Admission area for the F1 Grand Prix were great for atmosphere but not for viewing, unless you got there early, found a good spot and stayed there until the race started. Not sure if that is going to work with me and two kiddies. Will probably go the telly option...Sam_goUUUdogs wrote:Haven't had a general admission spot since about 2004, but I'd recommend getting there early (like an hour or so before the gates open) if you can do that you should be able to get a spot on one of the public viewing blocks, which are fine, although not the most interesting spots to watch from.fish wrote:I'd like to take my two boys to watch the racing on the Saturday. They are both under 14 so it looks like they'd get in for free on my trackside ticket.
What are the trackside views of the racing like?

Was talking to a friend yesterday about how Adelaide punches above its weight when it comes to major events. Not just the Clipsal but the Festival of Arts, as well as the Fringe which probably comes second only to Edinburgh as the worlds best. Then we have Womadelaide, Australia's premier world music event.pafc1870 wrote:http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/our-v8-event-nations-no1/story-e6frea6u-1226020738244fish wrote:A slightly different take on the Clipsal 500 from the Adelaide Review .

WTF sa motorsport...either tell the truth that you dont want piss heads at the track or do the family thing properly.
