Salsbury West beat Central United tonight by a bit, not sure on the score it was to cold and dark. Salisbury West looked good for a div 5 side playing against a div 6 side, i now Central United had about 10 blokes out still with cricket grand finals tomorrow, would be interesting to no how many Salisbury West had out. Look to have a lot of numbers for two sides, susprised they didn't end up having a "c" grade side.

I know its not the right thread but here goes
would like to thank the hope valley footy club for the trial with the c grade today
they are one of the most professional football clubs going around
the game was played in great spirits but more importantly the regard and respect they showed our club today was sensionational and very much appreciated
they are well coached in all grades, well structured and drilled but more importantly they play wether win, lose or draw with great great humility, pride, respect and honor
i sincerly wish all their grades the best for the season

im obviously not there but chatting to a few blokes, there seems to be a bit of a buzz... before everyone jumps on our backs, when i say buzz, i mean a real positive feeling around the club with all blokes looking in the right direction which i feel has been missing in recent time. Everyone seems happy with the new coach...

I must admit, reading posts like these makes me proud to be a player at the Hope Valley FC. Thanks for the kind words dee man and its a great reward for the many people that do so much hard work to make our club what it is. I will admit i wasnt there for the c grade but its terrific to see ovingham back from near extinction and wish you and your club all the best for the coming season.

Not long now lads, with only a week to go until we start season 2011. Hoping everyone's shaping up well and keen to get into it, I can't wait, been jumping out my skin wanting to get out on the park for a while now and it's nearly there. We've had a really good preseason with good numbers and everyone looks fighting fit just waiting to get into it, bring on round 1 against Hope Valley!! :)

Lockleys v Lonsdale Trial....Paul Kelly said, from little things Big things come.

The Rutland Avenue Demons have been working away quietly in the trials, without much fanfare. This week after another competitive hit out against much bigger opposition and last week the same with plenty of run but no height.

Suprise, Suprise this week....what do I see...a Big Key Forward, a little under done but a genuine BIG Key Forward and also a genuine CHF....But wait there's more a new Ruckman to support Martinello well someones been working hard, on some recruiting! Hall, Smith, jogging water and Lawrence and other 1st 18's still to come in. Plenty of depth with Reserves, C grade and Under 18's - May not be the biggest team in the comp but may still provide a few suprises, with ability, pace and genuine depth. Plus a couple of mature age recruits....very interesting!

Not sure of the score, but Salisbury west "b" looked young, also had a big unit in the ruck!
