I understand the spies were out when United played Pasky on the weekend. HB studying up!
I reckon the United/HB game will be a juicy encounter.

Primed and ready for the big opener this week vs the Ram Train!!

Ahh you guys played friday night! that would explain the Mallala spy at our game!

No this time of year surely
Sounds like the whole day was a waste of time on Saturday with TW winning by 20+ goals.

Haha nah he was a unofficial spy! Good old Arg likes to come watch us when Mallala dont play and give us some of his best material. I wouldnt say waste of time, I def needed the run as there was about 10 that didnt play the week before as well. Now the waiting game begins until our first game against Balak!

The Peckers hosted the Southern Flinders Tigers on Friday night in a 6 quarter match. Southern Flinders didn't turn up with huge numbers and the Peckers were down to around 30 as well due to Basketball GF's on the same night and a few resting for the cricket and tennis GF's the next day.

Balaklava won comfortably (not sure of the final score) with a good showing from boom recruits Glenn Dawson and OnSong. The up and coming Peckers youngsters all looked good with another pre-season under their belts, some bigger bodies on a couple of last years debutants will help them stay over the ball this year.

A big year for the Peckers coming up in 2011, will challenge for top 2 again.

Really? I didn't see anyone from Hamley there. If they did see it though they would definately like there chances against us with the performance we put up. As they say though you can never guage too much from a trial! ;)

I watched the first 2 1/2 quarters and I thought that Balak didn't look that good to be honest, especially when Southern Flinders had about 1/2 their team made up of genuine B Graders. I would have thought Balak would be happy to escape that game injury free. Definately looked like the players had their minds on things other than footy.

Much better. Nothing wrong with Slow though droppy ;)

Honestly we were ok last week and ordinary this week. I would say we could have an inconsistent year again. But you never know, we could also sneak up the ladder and surprise a few! 8)

Lower North were pounded by Brinkworth in the final of the Stanley Cricket too.
Bowled out for SFA (92) and Brinky got em three down.
Pretty big upset considering the two times we've played them after the new year, they amassed a score of 58 and I reckon we lodged over 300 against them in a 40-over match the second time around.
Combination of bad luck, good bowling got the job done for them. Pretty devastating stuff.
