West Croydon v Lockleys
Rosewater v Plympton I'm sticking with them, even though they can't win at Rosies.
Woodville South v Brahma Lodge Even with half the side away on a cricket trip...
North Haven v Hope Valley
Adelaide Lutheran v Salisbury West

Yeah I agree and prob hard to write since there hasn't been any games played to go by.

Was a reminder of years ago reading the sportsbeat waiting for the teams to be picked

Goodluck to all grades at the lodge this weekend. I know all sides are fairly depleted with the cricket trip but it gives plenty of opportunities to others.

I'm tipping a modest 3 wins tomorrow for the yellow and black
2020 AFL Premiers: Richmond 12.9.81 def Geelong 7.8.50
2019 AFL Premiers: Richmond 17.12.114 def Greater Western Sydney 3.7.25
2017 AFL Premiers: Adelaide 8.12.60 def by Richmond 16.12.108
2012 D5 Premiers: Brahma Lodge 24.15.159 def Hope Valley 7.13.55

An astute Football Judge said to me during the week, that today's game between West Croydon and Lockleys would be the most important game the club (Lockleys) has played in the past 5 years. I said, nahh it's just Round 1 it can't be that crucial. Well I hope he was wrong cause Lockleys were insipid against an undermanned West Croydon today.
Even with a sniff of a chance after Half Time when The Hawks had left the door open, Lockleys just went missing and The Hawks dominated The Premiership quarter to put the game away.

Too good, too tough at the ball and the contest - Simple - The Hawks just wanted it more!

"The Hawks" gave Lockleys a "Football Lesson" in
1. How to attack the ball
2. How to attack the player with the ball
3. How to break the lines
4. How to run, run and run some more even when the body is hurting AND
5. How important a Dominant Key Forward is...Stubbs was in fine form AND with not much effort he still gave "The Hawks" a target. Kept them kicking long to his contests and the runners feed off what he didn't take. Plus their other Tall at CHF kept them kicking at leading targets inside the coridoor up forward all day.

Simply too good Hawks and based on today's performance YES it is going to be a long season for the boys from Rutland Avenue. "Soft as Kleenex!"

PS Rotations are a waste of time at this level when you need to win the game, you can't afford to have your best players sitting on their arses, trying to interchange them with B graders.
