Agree they need to filter out all the central rejects and hangers on who keep wearing their old doggies shorts etc.
But they retail for 50% more than the old short price.
And if your club has a non standard color, it will also cost extra.

can someone please inform me what years Freeling have won senior-premierships (both a's and b's ). I'm particularly looking around the late 70’s-early 80’s and if they will be having any reunions for these?

[quote="Maybe"]Comparing A1 to BLG
I have played in both
BLG is A2 standard
Its different football, A1 players are bigger, fitter and the game is faster
Tanunda would finish outside top 5, and Barossa's 2 premiership sides would have finished there also
A2 yes i agree both would have been Grand Finalists
Players as mentioned above would be great A1 footballers, eg Last year Turner, Leal A1 medal winners
BLG is a great standard of football, but dont get carried away, A1 is the best outside SANFL[/qu

Never seen a div 1 game so im probably not the best person to be comparing leagues, so a fair point mate. BLG is a great competition, is very professional, has a great atmoshpere on game day with juniors and netball playing on the same day. To me the one bad thing about the SAAFL is the parklands sides and the atmoshpere they dont bring, but i guess thats just the way it is, atleast gives people in the area a place to play the real "beautiful game". but in saying that im not saying the SAAFL is a shit league, it is far from it, i think its great having such a strong league in metro adelaide and that football with relegation and promotion makes football the more interesting, so you have different teams you play every year. I think with salary cap rule it will bring more juniors into clubs at the top level, rather than just recruits looking for a quick buck to the highest bidder. BLG clubs are good for having local juniors playing in A's or B's.

Didn't get up to Loxton North today, but Schubby called me and said Angaston got up by 3 goal.

I reckon Freeling have won something like 13 A grade flags, with the last being 94, they won 3 in a row in the mid to late 80's. The B Grade have never won a flag. I havent heard about any reunions this year, maybe 2014.

Your comment, BLG clubs are good for having local juniors playing in A's or B's.
Go to a Willaston game and count how many they will have in their As
Bakerx2, Carter, Williams, Mccleansx2.....anyone else
and 4 of them are there for money only

Willaston in asituation that they had to recruit to be competitive
Finishing wooden spooners in 2010 for the first time hurt them and with new coach that has been able to bring quality recruits to the club the Donnies will be a force again in 2011.
Junior system now working well and will see good players being developed to come into A grade sides in years to come.

I heard Willaston paid $10,000 to South Adelade for J Taylor
So they could get him out of his contract
South Adelaide coach told me this with a smile on his face
