Not sure Kocho could coach 2 blowies to a piece of rotten meat but i guess you need someone to hold the white board and put money over the bar and keep the steak sandwhich stool ticking over.

Surely you would be able to include Diddles Harvey look-a-like Shayne Broad from Gawler South in this list. Perhaps give him a go on the forward flank.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

How do the BLGFA umpires panel allocate which games their umpires will be officiating in the A Grade every week?

Fair to say the game of the round would be Willaston v Gawler Central and their umpires are Roberto Polito and Brian Koch, wouldnt the best two umpires do the best game every week?
Seems kind of a joke to me that a former Willaston player gets to umpire the big local derby and this is not the first occasion this has happened.
I have been invloved in a local derby with him umpiring before and it was definately a pathetic one sided effort by Polito to say the least. I'm sure Roberto will be watched very closely tomorrow Lets see if he has changed tomorrow, but i doubt it.

The great thing about this forum is everyone is entitled to an opinion.
So here is mine just for some balance - Rob Polito is the best umpire in the BL&G by a mile and there isn't a more unbiased one than him. I have no affiliation with Willaston, but I think some of their supporters are DEFINITELY a little short sighted and narrow-minded!!
If you don’t like my words, don’t listen. If you don’t like my appearance, don’t look. If you don’t like my actions, turn your head; It’s as simple as that.

I know he hasn't suited up in the BL&G for a few years but any chance of squeezing Gawler Central premiership player Shane Slatter in the side!

Tough call on the umpires Bag & Sledge, the BL&G umpires are by far the best umpiring panel in country and amateur footy in SA. Rob Polito umpired the A-Grade Grand Final last year and it's great that a former player has taken up umpiring considering the majority of players stay involved with their club when they retire. And for the record Ronny Murch is the best umpire in the BL&G.

I can not recall any tough calls on any umpires except Polito Fog Horn so not sure where you pulled that from my comments.
And not one of my two questions has been answered.

I think umpiring the A grade grand final last year would indicate that is is one of the best umpires in the BL&G.
Ask the umpires tomorrow how they are allocated games for your first question.

From a players perspective, I am always happy when I see Robbie Polito is umpiring our games,
Think Willaston and Gawler got 2 good ones this week.
I am sure the 12 people that go along to watch the game will be happy with the umpiring standard.

And the pressure on Greenwood begins, lost to an angaston side with 7 or 8 u18's 4 of them being eligible for u17s still.
Greenwood didnt get a sniff himself, was completely snuffed out by the old stager J.Rathjen, how he can keep up with the younger blokes is a mystery to me

Your a clown Daysof. It was a little somber back at presentations. Hats off to the Ango boys today. Won't be as bad as people are suggesting, maybe we were starting to believe our own media hype. Schuby and Lukey Mensforth were good. Ango kids looked really good with an injection of youth. Hadds still holds his own and Harvey went through 2or3 tags. Chance to re group and ready for Willaston after the bye.

Went to South v Kapunda today thinking I would see a good game of footy.
South where pathetic to say the least. All the hype again about getting big recruits and spending zillions to place a team on the park to finish in the bottom half yet again.
Seen some Under 17's play for South that should be in the A grade.
Paying big money for some players that are just not good enough for the dollars they are demanding.
Lawry tried hard all day but Valentine(when fit near on best player in the BLGFA) stiched him up
Coach Mulligan may be a good coach of kids but sadly lacking was some nouse from the bench was required during the game.
He reads too many books by Barassi, Parkin and co and seems to get confused and goes to water when team under presure.
Up on nthe theory of the game but no footy smarts about the guy.
Loose to the Tigers after bye and South history for the year yet again.

Geez ! big fella, your drawing a long bow, you'd think that Angaston were the only team
m in the BLG with a junior program. As FB mentioned at least 8 or 9 of yesterdays Freeling team were under 19 as well. Always tough to win at God's waiting room first game, still a couple of notable ins to come in, and plenty of upside. We'll be OK . You obviously got a rise out of a few boys, I woulda thought that you would of been jumping on the Willaston bandwagon as well and claiming some of their devolopment from a couple of years back :D

Already we're seeing that it's hard to be a tipster in this year's BL&G. Wilaston going nicely, Ango upsetting the applecart, Freeling getting the wobbles and South... well?
They were terrible yesterday, but made moreso by a very impressive Kapunda, who still have John Nicholas and Toby Johnson to fit in.Tall in major positions and mobile too. A great team effort which doesn't rely on the noted players. Some good signings even though not big names.
Next couple of games will be the test though.

Coach Hadden getting Angaston's season under way, even hamstrung by the ridiculous points system.
Such is the insanity of the new system, if Willaston finish in the top two, a Willaston Gate inquiry should be held to investigate the BL&G executive and their link with Willaston.
Always question marks surrounding the team from tin fence park. An interesting observation when appointing a mexican (Baylis) for the captaincy and is frought with danger. Always signs of a club struggling for direction employing the role to an outsider.
