S.Dunstall now plays for Echunga although his less notable brother in Brenny still plays for Nairne.
Their bowling has been strengthened with J.Foster making a late season comeback.
Baker and Pfitzner are a handy opening attack for Hahndorf.
The Creeks had half their team out against Hahndorf the other week.
A bit harsh calling their bowling ordinary although they are less potent with ace bowler
B.Warren restricted with a knee injury.
Willis doesn't play Wistow any more.
B Judd is their only class batsmen apart from B.Lynn who i think is recovering from an operation.

i have spoken to a couple of people today regarding b grade game between shanty and slappy valley .my 1st person tells me that happy valley fired in a protest when bridgy didnt have permits 4 2 players on the weekend (apperently you need a permit to drop to a lower grade in the last 2 games of the season) the word is someone in shanty land is getting married this weekend and there are 4 players from the agrade side going to the wedding (u cant have more than 4 subs a week i think ) there 4 they drop 2 players to the b;s so all can go to the wedding .now my second source tells me that this is true but happy v have withdrawn the protest but the hills have said no and want to investigate this a bit more !!!!could shanty b grade miss the finals on a technical admin error there 4 happy valley get in in 4th spot . please explain silky ,bcc and p.p

TWE i have no idea about anything of the sort, i literally dont, it would seem a little bit harsh though, the only reason they dropped back was because of the a wedding and nothing else.

TWE - notice my previous post! thats when i thought the points would be awarded to happys.. yeh they did appeal and then withdrew it once they realised what was going on... some catt over there saw s.donaldson and s.yuill (thinking it was shae) named in the b grade and thought it was a bit suss.. but turns out it was skye yuill and these two players being subbed out of b grade second week for the wedding provided a legitimate reason for them being there in the first place... not sure what the asoc. are doin but ive heard we've been given the go ahead and as far as i know the games still on satd'y.

dutchy - as many are now well aware the whole club are down on a few numbers due to the wedding (excluding the bgrade who have usual numbers) so the a grade and dare i say c-grade will be up against it this week.

Cheers BCC, Bad news for SCIB's C grade then...they need us to lose and them to win to sneak into the finals...if the C grade aint going to be strong it could be an ugly score at the racetrack tomorrow!

TWE, crappy valley are hardly worthy of complaining about other sides dropping players before finals, they do it every year to make their c's stronger. and it seems shanty are doing it for a genuine reason. not to boost their side for finals. im pretty sure you can drop whoever u want whenever you want aslong as the higher of the sides is still going to be playing finals. works the same in footy.

Yep....If we win basically we will play the winner of your game and the loser will play Cheating Ranges in the semi's...would love to have another crack at Ranges, we had them on toast last time but let them off the hook...they are due to lose one also!

Shanty CC are an absolute disgrace to the HCA....they decide to forfeit our C grade game today 1/2 an hour before the start, the matting, stumps and cones were all out ready for the game and then a phone call comes through.....I presume they forfeited their D grade as well otherwise there will be dramas trust me..

It obviously got all too hard and knowing they were going to get spanked had no spine at all...lets just close the whole round because some Shantite is getting married (in cricket season? )

I dont know the result of the Gate/Stirling game but if it costs us 3rd spot (bonus points) it will be war!!!

******* tools....

Must have been a great weekend for Bridgewater. Not only did they forfeit the D and C-grade but also disappointingly, and without warrant, failed to turn up for the second day's play in Under 14 match. Commenced on Friday nite, Bridgey batted and were dismissed for 50 something in 23 overs. Aldgate passed score in remaining 14 overs. Aldgate roll up next day to resume match only to be told that Shanty coach had decided at 9pm the previous nite that he didn't feel like rolling up. Left the case of Aldgate players arriving for no game. Couple of grandparents, who had been there on Friday nite, again travelled up from down town to watch their grandson and no game!!! Aldgate coach notified by SMS ... not even courtesy of call by Shanty coach to explain his actions ... great principles and probably sums up the club!!!!
