If you're on the same network, you'll be sprung if they use a proxy ...

If you're on 3G on the phone then you're free to do whatever you want.

Tell me about it

I noticed we were stopped at the lights and the meter was still going up 10c every few seconds or so and I did question it - he said it was "waiting time" since when do we get charged for waiting at the lights? :?

I'm glad I decided to park my car at work- it would have cost me a weeks wages to get back to Holden Hill!

read the sticker in the top corner of the passenger side windscreen. Can't recall what the rate is but until the meter is stopped by the driver it charges the wait fee and the kilometer fee.

When the North Terrace Tram extension was under construction I had one thieving bastard try and take me down there when he knew full well that it was down to 1 lane in each direction. I wanted to get to an Eastern suburbs drinking establishment but I twigged at about the Uni SA West campus at what he was doing and told him to get to another street knowing that he could duck down a side street to get to Hindley St then onto Currie/Grenfell. He refused, I then waited until the casino and challenged him at his unethical conduct. Threatened to call the Taxi Board so he turned the meter off. When I finally got to my destination I gave him about half of the usual fare to get there and got out.

Todays stupid question...

I need to know if Bert and Ernie have surnames.

Don't ask me why. I just need to know.

Apparently not, just like Madonna or Cher. They are allegedly "not" gay as they don't exist below the waist. Bert has a twin brother and Ernie's birthday is January 28.

Ernie also has a small claim to fame with his Number 16 in Billboards Hottest 100 1970 with "Rubber Duckie".

If someone escapes from gaol and while they are on the run it is discovered that they were innocent to begin with, would they have to go back to gaol if they were found?

Good question. Escaping custody would make them guilty?

Technically they would have committed an offence, however provided that they didnt break the law while on the run, there would be very few judges/juries convicting (just as DPP probably wouldnt try to prosecute) someone in those circumstances, especially as the person would be likely to sue the Govt anyway for being jailed when they hadnt committed the initial offence.
