Apparently umpires constitute a trial?
Anyway, that's done with, play on.
So, all clubs can organise trials er sorry "scratch matches" on their byes as long as they don't get official umpires in?? Oh this board makes me laugh! Not sure whats funnier, that they felt the reason to stop trial matches on byes in the first place (ie Two Wells last year) or that they are that sh#t scared of Virginia that they can't stand by their convictions & deal a punishment to them for breaking one of their stupid rules. I can't wait for their next debacle (won't be long i fear)
The funny thing about trials and umpires (in normal trial game periods) is that if you host a trial you have to ring the league and have them appoint umpires. We got in trouble a couple of years ago for organising our own umpires. The fact they had no umpires should make it even worse, as you still need to submit team sheets and players can get reported in trials.
The APFL Board = Joke.
Absolute laughing stock - the Board has been "flipped the bird" and done nothing about it.
Get consistent, manage the league properly as per the agreed rules or get the f*%K out.
