Pag - did you see Lee Hanatschek in the Advertiser today? Towards the back of the sport - with Russell Ingall.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

I have heard that Unley have recruited pretty well this year & they sound like they are looking pretty good.

Has anyone else heard this or have some other info?

Havent heard much about Unley Jets but they always have links to the private school first 18s in that area. Not sure if your aware of there oval Demps but they struggle away from home early, there oval is not much larger than a primary school sports ground and has a bloody tree down the out boundary line!
They play it well which is good to see.
Can you confirm Nth Haven's arrivals and departures for everyone?

Does any one know where Damon Head is. Is he playing anywhere. I think he played at Portland a few years ago.

Unley were not too bad last year Demps (not up to your old clubs standard). Im pretty sure they were top or damn close after about 5 rounds. They then had some coaching issues with Andy Thornton (great bloke, by the way) moving on. Things went bad from there, but they still were competitive at times. It wouldnt take much in the way of recruits for them to be right in the mix, in my opinion.
I always liked playing on their ground FM, it suited velocity-challenged individuals like myself.

Yeah Newman, Heady is playing for Rosewater this year (so im told ). Apparently the ex-footy director signed him for a 3 figure sum per game just before he left the position. I heard he is recovering from a knee reco, but should be right for mid-year. I didnt know he played at Portland - you sure ?

Felch, I can relate. The Unley Jets oval had me feeling disorientated - I never leave the forward fifty but on that oval if your 50 metres from goal you are contesting the centre bounce.
I freaked out!

As far as a I know the new arrivals at North Haven are:
Rick Woodrow, Luke Robinson, Matthew Hood, Reece? (Reece is a mate of hoody & is from Salisbury) and there are a few others that havent been to training yet. We got a guy called Ando or something like that from Rosewater.

I hate playing on Unley's oval, it is so small. I have seen primary schools with bigger ovals, make it a pretty physical game when you play there.

They were the team to beat after about 5 or 6 rounds last year, well they were sitting on top & had played everyone outside the 5 :)

I know they will be speaking with someone I know about possibly playing there, just wanted to see what you guys thought of them & how they would go this year.

Who is North Havens president Demps ? A good mate of mine spoke to him Friday night and he reckons you blokes wont lose a game this year. Thats a huge statement, but i like his confidence. He also tried to get my mates signature, with the promise of 'plenty of cash'. He declined as he is already signed elsewhere. Ando is Shaun Anderson, played at Rosewater last few years, premiership player at Portland in 2000. Great player in his day, getting on a bit but still value. Good guy. Is there a fella by the name of Rob Cains training out there? Watch out for him
