BCC and PP what is dutchys deal??? Mt Lofty are the skid mark on the HCA underpants, there are 5 or 6 good blokes at the club all up. Your juniors are shit, your A grade are shit, your C grade will lose without SMILES, your D grade are useless, so dont go saying how bad we are, we have made the finals in As and Bs and you have made C grade.

Nah Ronnie, that was a different bloke. The guy you are talking about actually played A's with fleety and captained him in the B's at Stirling the year before.

There was plenty of freindly banter being thrown back and forward and Fleety came out with the missus joke. That's when he snapped. It did get heated then calmed down. I was batting at the other end when it happened and had to intervene.

As for not shaking hands after the game, the only person who didn't shake hands was Fleety. The bloke you are talking about went up to him to shake hands and Fleety refused.

As for the bahaviour of the Ling on Sat, VERY poor again. I'm told that this thorpe bloke is a dead set toolbag. Feels sorry for Hamish, Huffie and the younger blokes who have to put up with this shite!

Classic!
Gotta go to f'n Happy Valley...I guess the good news is that their team won't actually be there!
The Ling/Gate game had everything in C's...quite entertaining. Admittedly, it got a little silly.
The four teams should make for a cracker w/end of finals. In fact, all grades look like solid, fairly even cricket contests coming up.

Tips for this weeks finals guys
A grade- Meadows to smash a Bridgewater outfit that has a lack of depth, they fall away after Hoyle and the Yuills. Sinclair has hit form at the right time.
Aldgate to beat Onkas in a tight game, picking this as game of the year because the GF will be a 1 sided affair next week.
B grade-
Aldgate to smash Bridgewater despite a few raider batsmen in form.
Mylor will hav no trouble with team Gordy and will meet the Gators next week
C grade- Undermanned Mt Lofty to be challenged and i suspect to be given a cricketing lesson from Aldgate. They have the out of form Hollands with expierence, but without guns Ryan and maslin should be in trouble.
Eastern Ranges to win easily and meet Aldgate next week.
D grade- SCIBS will be the under dog in the finals series with a very young team, but will be interesting to see how Aldgate Pump go away from their postage stamp home ground.
SCIBS vs Aldgate pump GF next weekend

LP, fair post mate. But i think that even with the strong side that meadows have, that they arent a shoe in for the flag. Anything can happen on GF day mate

Yeah LP, good insight.
But i do agree with Robbie, anything can happen and cricket is a really fickle game.
I expect:
Meadows and Aldgate in A's. But Onkas will massively push the gate.
Aldgate and Mylor in B's.
Aldgate and Eastern in the C's...but it'd be classic if Rangers stumbled for the first time this year.
And in the D's...an all Aldgate GF, but the Pump away from home may get stretched...

Bridgewater Cricket Club are an absolute joke - their C grade didn't want to play us last week, they rocked up late and even asked us if they could forfeit. They wouldn't put the stumps up or put the cones out to mark out the oval at Bradwood Park so we as the visiting club had to do it. We didn't get started until about 1:25pm by the time they pulled their finger out and got out on the field.

PISS POOR PERFORMANCE BY SHANTY - When you enter a team into a competition you are expected to play out the entire fixture, not pull out with a coulpe of games to go because you can't make finals and are getting flogged each week.

BCC, Panther, Silky, there is no excusing this performance by the club over the last couple of weeks and it sounds like it just got worse from when we played them.

Will the HCA do anything about it at all?

I was under the impression that if a club forfeited a certain number of times, that they could be fined.

Red and Black: Nairne knocked over Hahndorf by 55 runs to secure 2nd spot .. Strathalbyn narrowly beat Langhorne Creek but all too late. Semifinals: Hahndorf v Wistow, will be interesting: Nairne v Langhorne Creek.

F'N happy valley, bloody hell dutchy neither team will be happy bout headin there. JQ ur right will be better not actually playing the crappy valleys, but with no finals teams theyll prob all be there watching and on crack.

BCC, i think the lofty boys have learnt not to stand behind (or infront of for that matter) justice, have heard bad bad things could happen.

looking forward to the game dutchy, didnt know about the golden last week, may hear the odd sledge bout that early if im up to it.
VOTE1 Tom Maslin for the seat of MAYO!!

get the sherrin would pay testimate to the kind of lugie i can cough up and i just did on army tanks post... do you even play cricket???

are we joined by hca 'royalty'.. is Leather poisining a certain meadows indiviudal???

im backing onkas for the upset against the gators... and i think they are the best chance of beating meadows GRAND FINAL day... kemp and hendry both capable of making big scores particularly wen u consider chad dawe hasnt bowled for the past few matches + david and hanson are always good for 3+ each. the gators will have to put in a pretty solid performance to beat them..

whats the verdict if the bgrade grand final turns out to be mylor - aldagte?? who would be the fav??

i rekon the bs are a chance for the grandy birth(as a dark horse) but i didnt wanta sound to biased.. gifford, sweety, rankin are all a grade quality batsmen just have missed quite a bit of the season for various reasons... rick neill is taking a shit load and as always mcginty is a wicket taker as much as ppl wud like to bag him. theyll have to play well but theyre a better chance than the results of a largely undermanned season may suggest...

a grade will be up against it.. with some quality opposition most of all meadows in the semi.. missing a few wont help matters.. but the side will be a lot stronger than last week and the frame of mind will be better i think... a good performance will be required but the gap isnt as big as leather poisining suggested.

Funniest thing I've seen posted on the cricket forum since the infamous 'sister' sledge from 2words!

mcginty seems like a good bloke - only played against him twice, but both times he went for PLENTY and didn't take a wicked against a Stirling side that only won 1 game for the season and was bowled out for 15 in one game! He got slapped for 6 after 6 and only looked like taking a wicket if shanty could have put a fieldsman at the front door of Coles!!!!!
