Wouldnt Have mattered if Smith Played for Plympton. FF receives ball after the midfiels have done their bit. With Eagles crushing their Ruckman, their inside 50's were limited.

Just thought I would post a few questions and start some discussions?

I believe Hope Valley started 7-0 last year and missed the finals. Could they do a reverse in 2011?

Is the Brahma Lodge wagon been unhitched? Are they following in the footsteps of Rosewater in 2010. 2009 prelim loss to just making the 5 in 2010?

Could West Croydon do a hectorville?

I watched lockleys on the weekend and thought they were alright and have a bit of improvement left in them. How do people think theyll end up?

I reckon we were 6 and 3 at the halfway stage last year and I hope so!

Haven't seen the lodge yet so can't really say.

West Croydon are riding a big confidence wave and will be hard to stop. If they don't get too many injuries they could very well "do a Hectorville". Have got big game match winners up forward by the bucket load!

This div is wide open and any side good enough to make the 5 is capable of taking it out if they bring their best footy when it counts most...

The Cinderella side of the comp IMO - but will they make it to the BALL? Some run over it, some side step it and quite a few Duck under it! Many turn it over too often and play like they are wearing glass slippers.

Have had the opportunities to take every game this year by the scruff of the neck, but lack leadership on and off the ground. Their own worst enemies, still no shortage of talent even with the best 3 leaving the club. Martinello is a genuine star, Georgiou works hard and Voyzey is still one of the best going around in this grade.

A number of players are not being "Honest" with their own performances and or they are not being told that the contests they are delivering are simply not hard enough. Accountability for your opponent is not evident - IMO we have a few Tarzans who just play like Jane!

But it's not all "Doom and Gloom" they are all still young, fit and talented AND this season is far from over. However the next 5 weeks will tell a lot.

Plus "THE NEW RECRUIT" could just be the "MISSING LINK" - A player who can show the way the game should be played and who inspires and leads the rest. A little "under done" at this stage, but he will catch up very quickly - Genuine Quality at this level and not just IN for 1 week, I understand he is here to stay and enjoy his footy with his mates.

The Demons best is good enough to play Finals Football, unfortunately they have only shown glimpses of it to date. Time for them to start delivering on their POTENTIAL! They need LEADERSHIP and you don't have to have a title to show it!

Traditionally sides that have ventured up from div. 6 have been successful in div. 5 the following year. Heccies, Lodge, Golden Grove, Greenies spring to mind immediately.

Would be a bit of a concern with depth for the two front-runners at this point, West Croydon and Rosewater occupy the bottom two places in the 2's on the ladder. Salisbury West have always had a competitive B grade side for as long as I can remember.

Get on board the North Haven Express then!
B's and c's are top aren't they?

You're right though, I always look at how the top A Grade side's second teams are going in order to generally guage how they should fare. Its a reasonable guide but not always gospel.

The Plympton Express unfortunately stopped a few stations short over the past few years though, even though the lower grades were always making it to the end of the line. 2011 Looks like a mini trainwreck at the moment!

Just watched a couple games from this div so far, including Plympton, Woody South, Lockleys, Rosewater, and thought Lockleys looked pretty good, but didnt know how to stop an onslaught from Rosewater. Be interesting to see if they bounce back this week.

Darth demon care to elaborate on a name or initials of this certain gun recruit who is underdone?
Woody sth will be keen to get back amongst the winners list this weekend after some heavy defeats over the past couple weeks.
Our b grade will want to continue there good form from last week into this week. Possibly a few changes from last weeks side. Very big game 1 v 2. I really thought woodys b's should've beaten west croyden by 20 goal plus. Had it been a dry day I reckon they would've done so easily.
Anyone from plympton tell me what is happening to the b grade down there. Best side the last 3 years and have suffered 9 goal losses in the last 2 games.

Make no mistake, he is cleared and allthough sounds like a snake he is a former Blood Brother, with a few lifelong mates at Rutland Ave.

All will be revealed I'm sure over the next few games, I doubt he'll play B Grade but hey who knows, stranger thing have happened. Having said that, he shouldn't ever play B grade, even under done. If he can put a jumper on, he's in the best 21 in this league and possibly even higher.

It's not Rocket Science, do your own homework - there are not too many approved clearances at this time of the year, plus I'm sure he'll make an impression very quickly and then everyone will know his name. ;)
