Classic comment, DA. Solid.
I think Onkas have been as consistent as anyone in the A's, and Gators will need moreso their batting to stand up. Bowling normally isn't a drama.
Heat could be a factor too, Sat looks to be high 30's I think.
BCC - B grade GF with Gators and Mylor...toss of the coin. I think both teams would love to take in the underdog 'tag', but both would be quietly confident.
The Gate's 4 finals sides are still far from settled so who knows who'll actually be out there from last time they met.

BCC, Bridgewater dont have much hope. Donaldson not playing, along with no Jaensch. Who is going to take the wickets?? Hoyle cannot take all 10. Seen that Sinclar and Furber have taken a few wickets this season but they didnt look all that impressive on the weekend.

Pretty sure that the sub rule doesnt apply during finals. So you have to play both days. Unlucky there.

4. PLAYER SELECTION AND NOMINATION

e) Where the unavailability of a player for either day of a scheduled two-day match is known to
a club prior to the commencement of play on the first day, the player may be replaced by
another player, provided:

The replacement is a qualified registered player of the club, and last played in an equal or
lower grade.

The names of the replacement and replaced player are provided to the opposing captain (and
umpires if applicable) and have been recorded along side each other in the scorebooks prior to
the toss.

The replacement will participate in the match with full rights and obligations of the replaced
player, eg. if the replaced player was entitled to continue an innings or an over in progress at
the recommencement of play on the second day, the replacement shall immediately resume
such innings or over.

Clubs may nominate a maximum of two replacement players per match.

Consequential replacements in lower grades shall be permitted under the same conditions.

Once a replacement has been nominated, the following conditions apply:
The replacement must participate in the place of the replaced player, even if the replaced
player becomes unexpectedly available.

No person other than the replacement shall participate in the place of the replaced player,
even if the replacement becomes unavailable.

The replaced player shall not participate in any other match in any grade on the day in which
they were nominated to be replaced.

Note: This clause (4e) does not apply in Finals matches.

Sorry for the massive post boys but instead of trying to explain it i just cut it straight from the rules on the Hills Website.

I am someone who comes under this rule, i have football trials saturday and am available sunday but with the rules forbit me from doign tis, quite dissapointing really. we finish our trial at 1 and i am gonna race back from Town to play whether that be As, more then likely in the Bs because i dont think the As will want to wait a hour for me to get there, but the Manos is more then happy to wait for me. I think the Bs have aldgate so i would be lining up against them if thats the case.

C grade won't be too bad.
I reckon whatever game you'd watch over the weekend, each team deserves to be there and there SHOULD be some good games.
Mind you, the semis in C's last year weren't a great advertisement for the game.

cheers CF, i am suprised by that. seems a bit stupid, but when have the HCA been know for there smarts.

silky, surely if only an hour late you could put a sub fielder in if u guys bowl, and if you bat and are needed b4 an hour is up u probably wont be winning the match anyway. interesting to see if C.Dawe will be bowling in the final series, not sure that R.Reid is going to be the bowler(that he no doubt thinks he is) that meadows will need to go back to back. tipping bridgy in an upset this week.

Surely gate meadows A grade GF again.
GTS - admire the limb you've gone out on, but can't see that happening.
A big dilemma for those that get knocked out in the semis this w/end: Adelaide Cup or Mad Monday or both...
