We've got 5 days in Port Lincoln and the 5 days in Streaky Bay. Any suggestions of things we might be able to do? Day trips, walks, nice beaches etc are the things we're after.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I went on a school camp there as a kid in the early 80's, when it was like a dormitory, but I believe its more of a caravan park these days, and has some decent cabins? Anyone know? Might be heading over to Lincoln in early October for a few days.

Can anyone recommend some good accommodation (hotel or motel, or perhaps apartments), preferrably in the town centre (close proximity to town centre/Mortlock Tce)?

I know it's not in the town centre but the Marina Apartments @ the Marina Hotel are very good http://www.marinahotel.com.au/, if you are after Motel style accommodation the Hilton http://www.hiltonmotel.com.au/ is good and is right on the beach with the town centre in east walking distance

Del Giornos is by far the best place to eat, on the front street near the ANZ

Marina Hotel also has good food.
