Jimmy, the CDFC forum has announced that Chad O'Sullivan is heading to Centrals. Other confirmed pickups include Ben Britton (Key position/Ruck from Tasmania Devils), Tom Clarke (Key position/Ruck) and Andrew Hayes (?) (Forward from Sydney Swans).

Cheers GC, I've updated the Ins/Out page to reflect those.

Out of interest so far in there's been a total of 47 ins and 63 outs.

That still leaves plenty of room for a few more ins @ North

One of my mates told me it was Glenelg but I don't know whether to believe him or not. But then again, they haven't signed anyone so they would have heaps of money to throw around.

Meanwhile.......

This came from the Geelong Advertiser via the eagles unofficial website at http://eagles.arecool.net

SANFL SIGNS TRIO

Tuesday, January 10
GEELONG ADVERTISER
STAR St Joseph's midfielder and Geelong VFL player Jackson Bolton has signed with SANFL club Woodville-West Torrens for 2006.
The 21-year-old will be joined at the Adelaide club by his twin Matthew and cousin Josh Bell, who also played for the Joeys last year.

Bolton said leaving Joeys was a tough decision, given the club's impressive season in the GFL.

But he believes it was an opportunity too good to pass up.

``It has been a little bit hard, Joeys are getting back a few more players this year and I was getting a bit of game time at Geelong but you've got to get out of your comfort zone,'' Bolton said.

``The SANFL's a great competition, it's a really good standard and I think this is definitely going to better my footy.''

The Eagles, who have lost the past two Grand Finals, flew the trio to South Australia to train with the club in December before signing them for two seasons.

Bolton said it would be straight into preseason training once they arrived on January 20 and has been keeping fit under the watchful eye of personal trainer Steven Lewry to make sure he's ready to go.

``They've been training for a bit now so we'll probably have a bit of catching up to do but I've been doing a bit of work here,'' Bolton said.

``It's great that we can all go over together, it will make it heaps easier to have the other boys there.''

Bolton was brilliant through the centre for the Joeys last year while his brother proved a handy forward.

Bell, a hard-working utility, also impressed in his first year with the club and was voted most courageous.

Just looking at the Ins/Outs Wedgie updates and looking at who Port have recruited, I just saw the Matthew Lokan has been added to the 'ins'. This is the first I have heard of this since I don't recall anyone talking about this. He will be another player that will no doubt be on a nice sized contract and is yet another AFL player to add into their team. As much as I hate to say it, I really think that Port look to be the favourites for the flag.

Wedgie can you update the eagles list of ins by adding both Boltons?
Also can you or some North supporters tell me a bit about Travis Oakley? Where does he play?

Realistically this is how I believe the ladder will end up this year
1. Port
2. Centrals
3. North
4. Eagles
5. South
6. Norwood
7. Sturt
8. Glenelg
9. West

There you go, a port/centrals GF. I am sure this would bring a crowd near to 40,000 to the ground and would make the SANFL admin happy. I can see North and Eagles battling it out for 3 or 4. Could go either way. The top four teams will be very competitive against each other but I believe there will be a big gap to the fifth team which I have given to South. SURELY they will get there this year!!!

No worries mate, I've added Matthew to join Jackson at the Eagles at http://www.safooty.net/insouts.htm.

Travis Oakley is a smallish full forward who can take a good grab for his height, quite often kicks 4 - 5 goals in the ressies.

To update the ins and outs, Jackson Barling is staying at Williamstown, not coming to West.

Why will this year be any different to any other for the not so mighty Panthers Mr. Fuller? On what do you base this arguement?
South appear to have lost more than they have gained. All the talk down there is of disharmony with the board and in particular the coach.
For what it is worth, I think your ladder has a realistic look to it, give or take a couple of changes.
At this stage I would be going;

Central
North
Port
Eagles
Sturt

Norwood
Glenelg
South
West

Hmmm all these predictions of ladders for 2006,

Looks a lot of people have been reading the entrails of chickens........

Only worthwhile prediction I can make for 2006, is that sometime through the year, people /organisations will make the following excuses for their clubs poor performance:

the umpires
the SANFL,
the umpires,
someone else but oh, not us, cheating the cap
the umpires
Tim Marcus-Clarke
injuries (particularly our key player(s)) no other team gets injuries like we do.....
the umpires
The AFL
"bloody Victoria/Jeff Kennett"
oh and the umpires (once again)
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Good list 1908 Tassie Medalist but isn't it traditional to blame the coach? And you need to mention the umpires more.
We used to be good :-(

The Full Back was scragging all day and didnt get picked up once -
If only we didnt kick so many points -
The conditions didnt siut our style of play -
They had a 6 goal breeze for 3 quaters -
All there players were cheating all day -

Oh and all the umpires are blind

Dunno mate, use some discretion, I suppose players that played league/expect to play league would be a good guide. Just add them here and I'll add them to the Ins/Outs page.

Young Peter McGettigan listed as an In for Norwood won't be making the trip to the Parade afterall, I believe as a result of University Studies
