I enjoyed it but, thought all characters could've been introduced in ep 1. I thought the Dunt boys' mannerisms and antics have been seen before and there wasn't anything new about them. Having said that, the reverse doughies in the Pulsie and his description of what constitutes a poof and straight dog were quite funny IMO.

Gran was the highlight of ep 1. I don't think anyone else other than Chris Lilley could pull off the racist lines like he does in this day and age. My reaction during the soccer game could be best described as laughter with hint of cringe.

Looking forward to S.mouse next week.

I think the mother of the gay asian skateboader will be funny and cringeworthy at the same time

Did not do it for me.

Few mild chuckles but thats about it.

Next week (as ZZ said) is a copy of Saffran (who is far better than Lilley IMO)

Definately has not lived up to the hype. :?
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!

First 5-10 minutes gave me some chuckles and the soccer match, the last 15 was, as others on here have said, pretty ho-hum.

Wont be setting the IQ to record it, thats for sure.

I love Australian TV and Comedy but haven't seen any of Lilley's previous work and really only watched this because it was on after Spicks and Specks. IMO some of it was funny, some of it wasn't funny at all and the rest i'm surprised was allowed to go to air. Personally didn't find any of it offensive but know many people who would have.
Will give it another week but would need to improve to keep my interest.
Trust the process.

Gran - a cross between Bob Downe and Joan Ferguson.

Chris Lilley's comedy can be perceived as wrong and is borderline, but the way he can stick to that border without going ridiculously over is a great and unique talent.

Gran is more a cross between Pat from his first series and Mr G from the second. I like his style, just not a lot of originality this time around. The swearing / overt racism this time seems designed to shock IMO rather than hold a mirror to Australian society in the more subtle and subversive way he used to.

Lets see if there is as many complaints about Lilley painting himself black as there were for Hey Hey or when Sam Newman did it, or will it all be ignored because he is popular......

Average episode. A few laughs, but relatively poor IMO.

I hate swearing, but I can live with it (obviously as I'm a huge fan of both WCBH and SHH) but to me there is a TON more swearing in this series. Off putting.

Agree on an avergae episode, was sitting there waiting for the big laughs and they didn't come. Heard that they chopped out a section from Nathan and Daniel called "Sneaky Nuts" which made it to the DVD which sounded funny with Nathan getting a little bit more of himself into family photos

Better than the last episode, at least there was some kind of character development, but very light on laughs IMO. Underwhelming.
