I don't understand the mentality of some people. In the under 14s game yesterday Virginia gave us one player to make it 18 players to 16 but after the first quarter we were a couple of goals up they didn't give us a player. We played 3 players short and still won but thats not the point. It's just so frustrating that some people don't play by the rules.

Josh Moody, Justin Shahinga and dyllan Lockwood from Hamley. Not sure if anyone actually watched many of our games this year.

I know Marty Pym doesn't read any of the dribble on here but yesterday in the last quarter I saw the single most courageous thing I have ever seen on the footy field BAR NONE! Running back into the flying pigeon and to do what he did was simply amazing. Even my chunky legs ran the length of the ground to give him a bum tap after we scored the next goal.

And my Junior colt boys scored their first goal for the year (besides after the mercy rule has come in). I think I was more excited about it than they were.

To more important talking points MC, how did Longies beat Balaklava?

I'm so sick of Hamley Bridge being treated shit. Is the only way to make association sides have ur club coach it? One selected in the under 15s side plus one emergency. What a joke. I would at a guess say one from Virginia and not many from longies and hummocks and most prob 15 from Mallala, two wells and balak. Sorry I know I'm going to cop a lot of shit about this but are we really for helping our kids? Sure they are the best sides in the comp but come on.

Association isn't school boys footy at lunch time. I'm certain if hamley had 10 of the best players they'd also be picked. Surely you expect them to pick their best squads regardless of where they are from. How else would you expect it to be done norm?

Virginia 18.20 (128) d Hamley Bridge 5.6 (36) by 92 points
Two Wells 12.16 (88) d Hummocks-Watchman Eagles 9.13 (67) by 21 points
United 12.5 (80) d Balaklava 8.11 (59) by 21 points

Tough week of tipping with only four posters managing a score of four or more. A new equal leader again greets us as OnSong was knocked off his perch with a poor round of one point.
UNDERthePACK has had a stellar four weeks to take the lead, while Hazbeen is pushing sh!t up hill to keep the lead.
Poor old norm11 registered a big 0 to sting posters who couldn't get their tips in, including Woofa, who was reasonably placed before the weekend.
United's upset win over Balaklava hurt nearly every tipster, except Mythical Creature, who smashed out a perfect round of tipping, with six points, pushing up to equal third.
Other well-performed tipsters were Mighty Hounds and Jumbo, who both scored four points. Very congested at the top of the leader board now.
Right in front of me. RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!

I was talking under15s but while we are on that, I think he may have warranted an invite to training.

Well i think its pretty obvious who i am and i have enjoyed commenting on this forum with people knowing who i am. I will comment on the association topic. Because association football is something i have always enjoyed and something i've always one made myself available for and strive for. I will admit i was a little disapointed that i didn't get a look into the squad but can certainly understand that the selectors have put Nikolous and dawson into the team seen them both close up and both very classy footballers and one of them is the size of a brick shit house... =)

The one i can't understand is adam pepe missing out he has dominated CHB 3 out of 5 games and was more than serviceable in the other 2. So this proves maybe selectors have not been to our games at all..

Also does the association team need to have a certain amount of under 23 players? If this is the case right now i would say we have 1 of the top 6 or 7 20 to 23 year olds in the comp. Young Jed Eastwood has been unbelievable this year so far and if there were some selectors at our games then im sure he would have atleast been included into the squad. Just for the experience. As this kid will play alot of rep. Football.

All association teams and all australian type teams will have controversy, thats just the way it is.

We won the thing last year so the selectors must know what there doing.

I only know of Sam Rowland and Lachy Michael but I'm sure Catford, Whiskey and Dawson were walk up starts.
We haven't been given anything from the league about a squad. I probably should have pursued that.

On that point though, I find it unbelievable and disgraceful in fact, that Liam Whitwell wasn't included in the squad. Whitty is one of the most consistent and committed players to pull on a magpie or assoc jumper. Only 2 years ago he was captain, played in the zone team and won our Mail Medal, and this season he has been in Mallala's best players every week he has played  Its got me buggered  Whitty is one of those who loves playing association footy, personally as a coach I would prefer to have guys like this in my team any day of the week, especially with the class of Whitty, over blokes that rock up to avoid thier 1 weeks suspension... and we all know there are plenty of them!
