Can't see any of this happening anyway and he did get BOG on the weekend.

Its no issue if he hasnt played there for 2 years

MH he did play there last yr so they may not clear him.

And skip are the blokies another club like nuri are they? Wont clear any previous players to any other club and would rather them stay away for the barossa league. Lets hope that wouldnt be the case as i believe in the past there have been a few players cleared by other clubs to the blokies. But not sure it will be happening anyway.

Swooper

Well said Swoop, couldnt see there being an issue, he went out and left a Premiership team thats his own issue, the club wouldnt have an issue playing against him and I would say they would know his game inside and out by now so stopping the big fella wouldnt be too much of an issue i wouldnt of thought...

Not sure Tanunda could of stopped the clearance as Greenwood would of been a coach thats why no ill feeling.

If I remeber Jeff Brown was coaching Sth Gawler in the early 90s they picked up a new recruit and gave him the title of coach to stay
within there import alocation.

Steam Train maybe with the new coach on board things have changed a little and if players wish to leave he will let them go. But didint Nuri refuse 3 or 4 pos more of clearances from the one guy last year that was trying to go to the same club O'Riley went to.
That would be one ....... Justin TREWEN
This is a good rule the BLG has no clearnce policy to clubs within the league for 2 years.
I beleive Trewen was looking for $$.
Playing under Stafford who wouldn't pay local players this is a good example of why its in place more leagues should follow suit.

There's more important things to worry about than whether AK47 will leave Mannum to go to Angaston - as if - or if Nuri will ever clear anyone to another BLG team - as if - or if Trewin should've played for Freeling - believe me, I saw him play in a lesser league; he wasn't worth the money.
No, more importantly who will win this week? Who will come off the waiting list at Willaston to play this week? Maybe they'll slip another one through Nobby's door. Who will leap from 7th or 8th into the top spot, just by winning a game? Will the Centrals faithful on the hill be friendly to the opposing team and not hint at their sexuality or parentage? The only certainty is that South won't win - or lose.
Angaston vs Tanunda - will it rain in Angaston? No worries. The Maggies will win by whatever the goal umpires will give them - a couple of goals.
Freeling vs Nuri - the young Legs are due a big day out; won't let the tigers run as they like. Mensforth will kick a bag.
Willaston vs Barossa - The Donnies to bounce back, the dogs to run out of luck. Taylor vs Commane worth the admission price. Whoever else plays for the Donnies.
Centrals vs Kapunda - Bombers to spring the surprise here. Will win for Brownie(and Daicos) by a bit.
Feel free to disagree and start a dialogue.

Angaston vs Tanunda , Easy game for Tanunda 8 goal win

Freeling vs Nuriootpa, Freeling in buy 4 goals

Gawler Central vs Kapunda, GC big win 10 goals +

Willaston vs Barossa District, Willaston will make Barossa look slow, Barossa has had their time and Roger James will see this and move on. Willaston by 10 goals +
Something to think about

I sense by the silence on here that Mals mob and the Ango boys didnt get up.
Shaping up as a close season, only 1 game between 4th and bottom

We at Ango got our asses handed to us yesterday, hence the silence.
Would be nice if we could get a full-list to choose from (5 injured, 4 at Centrals) as we just
dont have the depth to cover it ths year.
Tanunda still the benchmark.

Tanunda far too strong on Saturday for the gallant Ango boys.
Bennett big loss for Ango and lack of imports this year is hurting the club.
The juniors they are playing are doing well and the 4 players in the underage at CDFC making things even harder to be competitive.
Big rumor around Gawler that Jeremy Johncock to suit up for the Donnybrooks after 30 June 2011.
Don't know how they will fit in all the imports as he would be 4 points and they all ready are playing 1 under age player each week to get in the existing imports they have on the books and they had to sack Brown as he was worth 2 points.
How are the paying for all these players and are they at full strength good enough to beat Tanunda?

Although i think your trying to stir the willaston people on here i think you will find johncock will be a local. He played more than 25 senior games at willaston a few years ago. Could be the difference between willaston winning a grand final, Quality player.

Absolutely. The donnybrooks have shown enough this year to suggest they will give it a shake this year, and if they get Johncock on board they might even have enough firepower to stitch up the Box Heads.

Johncock under contract at Sturt and find it hard to beleive they would let him go
But in saying that if the Donnys were willing to pay 10grand for Taylor who knows Sturt may be interested
He will be 4 points irrespective
He was not a junior who played 25 games
So he is definately 4 points
Maybe

I think you will find if you have played more than 25 senior games you will be classed as a local. If this isn't the case a couple of clubs may be up shit creek!

The rule is quite clear and if you have played 25 senior games for the club you are zero points.
My mail is johncock is finding trasining difficult give his job and Sturt will release him if he can't commit to the demands of a SANFL club and play a kid instead.
is there anywhere on the Sportingpulse database to check if he has played 25 senior games as if he is zero points what a bonus for the Donnybrooks.

Willaston must exist in some sort of La La land if the Johncock rumour is true . What about the imports who served a club for 5 years to be considered a local - Brady, Taylor, etc - yet he can do it in 25 games and not have played for the club before. This makes a mockery of the points system if it's true. Everyone knows Willaston are over the points - creative accounting? Still if a simple oversight can win a premiership, Nobby and the boys will find a way.

Great win by the boys on the weekend, considering how many we also had out (13 across both A's & B's). Good news is that Tommy Schiller is now only out for another few weeks, it has been reported that he was out for the season. Stewie great point about depth, just watching you guys I have a feeling that some of your lads are lacking a large amount of fitness, get that going and I think you could really have a say towards the end of the season.

Johncock would no way be considered a local, if so there should be a royal commission into it. Anyway when he played in this comp he never set it alight, in fact I clearly remember his last game in 2004 (approx year) against Tanunda and he played in their reserves.

Have it on good authority from within Willaston that Johncock will definitely be a Donny this season and it may even be earlier than some have suggested on here.
Could it be a Johncock/Agars match up this week?????
Johncock is definitely ZERO points.
Brown wasnt sacked, he spat the dummy after being dropped to the ressies or as some like to say on here rotated.
I think u will also find they havnt used their 15 points in any game as yet.
Swooper how many seasons was Taylor at tanunda for? im surprised if he had played the 25 games that Tanunda didnt want him

If 25 games makes you a local these days then the league's up **** creek. It's an insult to import players who actually played for a club for more than just money, and fell in with the club's culture; not like the mercenaries we're seeing these days. Once you get the premiership, find another club who offer you more. I think some of the successful clubs from last year have already realised this. Wonder how many of Willaston's "rotation" will stick around when the money dries up?

dont if youre thinking of the same johncock but he was a a very good player for the donnys when he was there and his last game wouldve been a semi final and i can guarantee it wasnt in the reserves. that was 7 years ago as a 22 year old.
