I've probably sold ourselves a bit short there, we did mighty well to come back with a couple of goals.

Little Loz Di Palma has been fantastic for us this year and Big spider has been a godsend since coming back to play. Probably wouldn't be too many who'd disagree with me there.

PS: LOL at your Groover comment

west croyden V haven

good game. west croyden came out of the blocks, haven stayed around the mark, never out of it, never in it sort of game. Not that its an excuse but id say you add - off the top of head:
Jake Watts, Brock Day, Ty Duerdin, Blake Davis, Matthew Eagles and a possible Div1 X factor. I'd say they'd cover those 20 points. Croyden had a couple out outs i Bryant and stubberfield, but if Stubberfield was the baldie running boundary in the B's, he'd wanna be a very mark as he looks to carrying a good 10 kg

If you're looking for an honest opinon from a mate that's followed you lot probably more than most clubs (besides mine  ) over the last couple of years..
You personally played OK considering you're travelling on half a lung (silly :? ),Bretty played a good game too I thought. Mind you, if Groove and Scotty Mac were to drop dead tomorrow you'd be in all sorts of trouble there though I reckon. Not saying I don't rate your Hayseys etc.. but you're a different side this year in that you've got fewer "danger" players than you've had in the last couple of seasons and you're now relying on fewer key players to get the job done.

Otherwise, what TT said - too many turnovers in defence cost us and those stupid sneaky goals you and Macca got in the first half, there were about 4 of them where the ball just miraculously landed in your hands in front of goal and BANG. Our mistakes let you get to 5 goal out and we took too long to make our charge home.

Ce la Vie... :(

Was a pretty scappy game overall and one that never really got going. We got out to that 6 goal lead at the start of the last and once agin put it in to cruise control. This is going to end up biting us on the bum if it comes down to percentage at the end of the year. Valleys looked good going forward. Number 9, the guy who played on the wing, is a fantastic user of the football. I thought he set up your dangerous avanues to goal. Half way through the 2nd quarter I thought he would be the difference on the day.

Overall I thought we started to get our season going. Its been a very long season so far and this hopefully points us in the right direction. Another couple to come back this week and then a few more after the break. This should hopefully help with the b grade and c grade aswell.

A big thanks to all the Valley guys for coming in for a beer yesterday. The football club really does appreciate it and will be sticking around in the return leg for sure.

The Question on everybodies lips is did the great man R. Duerdin make his return for the black and white as was announced early last week on this site?

Yeah may have been...When he first signed with the club i thought i might be a masterstroke to bring an unknown into the club with no pre-perceived ideas on individuals. This wasnt the case and I dont know him personally but seems to me he tried to change things all at once (just my outside and uneducated opinion) Step by step may have been smarter because we as a club need to change from old to new in all areas of our club to become successful again. Its a great club to be involved in but we have underachieved for too long and must find a way to attract quality to our club. Its not an exact science thats for sure but Im sure we will gain respect as an honest hardworking club once again. Hopefully im still here...hahaha

i cant believe were sitting third!!! shows how tight the comp is.. 3 weeks ago were in relegation zone.
i reckon we can improve from saturday too...

Big Kenny made his comeback this week, was eased back into it and was a big presence as the game wore on

I think your assessment has been made through black and white eyes there beached. As an impartial on looker, I do know a few blokes that play for North haven but do not care if they win or lose, I would say North Haven threw everything at West Croydon.
West Croydon through a fantastic team game were able to absorb any North Haven advance and keep them at bay. There may be a few to comeback for Haven's but I would not expect the result to change even with a number of ins. West Croydon are by far the best team in the comp and they would have to have a very dirty day for someone to get the better of them.

Two words...Matty Eagles... You cannot rule out anything with this boy sitting on the side-lines. I reckon the centre clearance count on Saturday would have been 20 to WC & 6 to Haven (full credit to WC's ruckmen & onballers). However, with Eagles back in the side, I can confidently say that the clearance numbers would be reversed - and you try and tell me that an additional 14 inside 50's to Haven & 14 less to WC wouldn't have an impact on the result. I'm a firm believer that you are only as strong as your 'B' grade, but I really hope he is fit to play when WC come to play us at home.

If Matty eagles is as good as everyone says why is he playing div 5 no offense to anyone but being so tall and young you would think that he would be playing much higher up if not sanfl. As for the game on Saturday I don't think wc are winning as much ball out the middle as last year but I think they a winning more positions around the ground

I don't know Matty from a bar of soap but have seen him play footy, TDK knows alot more and if i remember correctly he said he just wanted to enjoy footy with his mates at NH and had no interest in playing at that level...

But def agree with piccachu, any div 1 club would love him!
