easy on bagging the valley boys they have to umpire our game tomoz. im wondering how they will be able to cheat enough to make the umpires win the game?????

unless the ball is pitched right at the batsmens toes you wont hit the wickets it bounces that much.

I doubt they will leave the HCA with Reynella going to ATCA I would expect the southern comp to be fairly weak next season...in all honesty it is only a 20 min drive from the Devil Park, Meadows is further away

I live at Bellevue Heights so had to give myself some breathing space! Flagstaff is a good area, but it's all downhill south of there!!!!

It is close to Dev park, but where would you rather go - Meadows or Crappy Valley?

yeah fair point...

Well, it's basically prevented me from heading up the hill for a beer! And that's really disturbing!!
At least we'd actually be IN the hills if it was at Meadows.

Don't think it will matter who umpires the ling. They'll implode and lose!

Anyone know where it's being played?

Well, the aldgate C grade has made it throuugh to the grand final with a demolishing win over the red caps. To be honest it was one of the better games of cricket that i have been involved in. The gators batted first and set a good first innings score of 160 on the large happy valley ground. The red caps put in a good showing, but fell only eight runs short of the total.

Best batter for the red caps was definately the natural himself, tom maslin. But the most valuable player for the day would have been nipple, the gators keeper, who gloved everything and took an amazing and important catch to take the wicket of dutchy.

One feels that dutchy also took a important catch, but the question remains. Was it actually a catch. Well if the forearm is part of the bat, it will be out every time.

For anybody that cares.. TVCA results so far:

Eden Valley made both the A2 and B grade final. The A2s beat Lobey, and the B grade beat the top placed Mt Torrens.

Paracombe have also made the B grade final, belting Gum on the first day.

From what i heard last night, it looks as though Lobey and Woodside were in strong positions in the A grade.

So Meadows V Onka's in the A grade...as I mentioned last week where will they play this? Uradlia would be my guess...

Yes gators just got past a under strength Lofty outfit at the Valley...good game highlighted by some ordinary bowling getting plenty of wickets!

Best sledge was when Bowes was batting...." Lets steal a wicket here boys"!!!...gold

That is one weird pitch they got there

Apparently Bridgy had Meadow's on TOAST - 9 for 98 but Dunbar dropped a sitter (at 9 for 102!!) & Meadow's went on to make 143.
