Who is the Captain of Centrals?
If its Kingy then the fact that he isn't being listened to is redundant,
No-one has bothered to listen to anything he has dribbled out in a decade.
Would rate on the 'listening scale' about as highly as a Matthew Doecke pre-match speech.
Would seem like a dumb thing to start pointing the gun at your own foot when you are 7-2 and right in the mix.

I believe Hahn would have been calling a meeting to allow some other players to express some views and clear the air if they are unhappy. Hahn is a team man and I don't believe he would be undermining the coach, particularly with a possible premiership in the pipeline.
Blakemore is a very serviceable player, but no star. If he is genuinely unhappy, he has ten days to do something about it.

He looked average on the weekend. Centrals will lose nothing if they let him walk.

One Eyed my mail from down at Donnybrook land is that all the players that came with coach Irving are having positive impact at club and mixing in well with players and club members.
Taylor has been sensational, Campbell excellent, Big Jimmy Jones has been servicable and will improve with more game time as I believe he missed all off last year with an arm injury but marvellous around the club and helping out with the young Rosewall lad's development as a ruckman, Bates and Savage good contributor's and little Dutchy Taylor was great but out injured at the moment I have been told with a broken jaw.

How did Dutchy Taylor get the broken jaw? Would your mail tell you that Campbell might know after a late night out at the major sponser?

Surely this talk about Wacka can't be fair dinkum, good bloke both on and off the field and find it surprising that he would not listen to the players opinions. Wasn't that long ago there where some coaching controversy's at the dog track, apparently coaches that do a good job just are not required.

Who has been the stand out player so far?
Sam Walton is having a very good year.

Joel Campbell at Willaston has been good also at Willaston. Others from what I've seen and read would include Shane Schubert at Freeling, a rejuvenated pair of Aaron King (GC) and Nathan Brady (Kap), Heath Commane (BD) and Paul Bova (GC) would have to be considered as influential among the forwards. Cale Ellison looks good at Nuri, but not necessarily a game dominator. Luke Officer and Brady Scott are doing the job for South. Obviously a lot of talk about Ryan Bignell this year at Tanunda. Brandon Kurtz seems to be getting a bit of press at Ango.

Don't understand why this blakemore character would want to leave a Centrals side who are 7-2 and have beaten the reigning champs to go back to Gepps Cross who are nothing short of average. each to their own i guess. must be alot of Blakemore haters out there 8)

Hey Stewie, we have a bit of a competition at our club to guess the ages of the "greats" at Ango. Doeke, Harvey and Kurtz.
Could you shed some light on the "real" ages of them? Or is that too much of a secret to put on the net? Might have the AFL drug testers out there if they found out their real ages???

My guess:
Doeke: 36 Will play another 100 games as long as he keeps away from the hard ball
Harvey: 35 Can't keep taking the hits, word is he may retire at the end of this year with another Schluter.
Kurtz: 21, hmmm sorry 36

Harvey to win another medal!
The first one was a big enough joke for the league let alone a second one.

I think Snoozer wants to take the piss out of Harvey. Forget the drug testing, I think he wants his DNA to clone him.

Having played a couple of years at Souths they are a very proud club that strives for Premierships. They would have been pissed off with the below par performance of the last couple of years. In fairness to Milligan it is hard to build a side when a large chunk of your senior locals leave the club, just my thoughts.

Re: Milligan was not sacked

Postby Inside_Scoop » Thu Jun 23, 2011 11:32 pm

For everyone's information. Milligan was not sacked - he walked out on his own accord after giving it his all for the club. The interim coach is captain Aaron Bayliss with support from the senior playing group Danny Lee, Ryan Porter and Heath Lawry. Whilst it was a shock no doubt, it as a fresh start and renewed enthusiasm for the Lions who are no longer the easy beats and have lots to play for in the remaining 7 games!!!
