God onya champ, watched half a game he got the votes! Freeling got the points and your mate did @#@$ all. He is a good player but have a good look at yourself and give the old fella a rest.

However, the medal isn't awarded for performances in the first 6 rounds.
Sammy ran out of steam about then, probably due to playin in the N.T during the off-season.
Harvey was the standout for the WHOLE season.
So to summise...No, you don't have any idea.
Meanwhile aren't Freeling 2-6?, why is everyone posting that they need to win to stay in the race,
their season died 2 weeks ago. Ango are 1 loss away from curtains as well at 3 wins.

You better look again, i’m pretty sure he missed a few games early, so it
Wasn’t the whole season. He was lucky to play 10 games.
A lot of people walk out of the vine inn that night saying it was a joke
The only people who did’t think so had blue & white panther tops on.

Don't know what your issue is with Harvey but well deserved medal winner last year and probably unlucky not to have two or three in his collection. Only saw the 2nd half of todays game and he would have been BOG today, Rd 11 Freeling v Angaston - 3 votes, C. Harvey Angaston. On that why the hell isn't he in the zone squad, best midfielder running around the Barossa at the moment.

Greenwood would have got the votes yesterday when he fired the Legs fired.

Can see why players dont want to play rep football when the best players are not picked.
Blokes like Harvey would get a bit more excited about it if he had the likes of Wells,Greenwood and Newberry standing in the center square.
For spectators bit like going to watch Australia A play cricket.
Not sure if he declined the offer to play but would think he would be the only mail medalist in history to not get a gurnsey on that weekend if available. :?
Laubke should stick to coaching his school football if its all about finding the next Gary Ablett.

Kent Kingsley was a surprise inclusion in the Ango team yesterday against Freeling. Any truth to the rumour that he suffered from some deep vein thrombosis during the 3rd quarter after his plane flight over had to be diverted through, NZ, Perth and the UAE to avoid the Ash cloud from the recent volcanoe ? :D Steve Eichner went down earlier in the game in exactly the same part of the ground. This time an ankle instead of the calf. Someone in the crowd commented after Eichs appeared to jag his calf for the 3rd time this season that with all the farmers around Freeling they should be able to find Eichner a decent calf

Good game of country footy yesterday at Freeling. Mensforth shooting straight was probably the difference. Both Greeny and Diddles were heavily tagged by Rathjen and Muster respectively, but would have still been the best two players on the ground anyway.

Hearing that Agars has thrown in the towel at Westies and will return to Tanunda in the coming weeks. Can you confirm Swooper?

Nah can't confirm this one, the only talk I had heard is that he was going to stick it out but that was a few weeks ago, I have been away and have a function on Wednesday night and will find out then.

Be a huge inclusion if he goes back to Tanunda. He has had a crack but if you cant make the grade at Westies he may aswell be back playing with his mates. Cant undrstand why he hasnt been given a better go down there, he seems to to have a real go unlike the majority they have playing for them

With the form of the Bloods in the last couple of weeks, Agars would be in line for a call up surely. Cant keep a side steady that has been pumped 2 weeks in a row. must be very close, would be silly to throw in the towel so far into the season.

He must be very close, dont be surprised if a few on the fringe who are being courted by amateur and country clubs get a league game this week. Just happens to be the last week before clearances close.

Went to the club function last night and Agars has basically confirmed that he is coming back. Says that he has had a go and just isn't going to crack it into the league side. So looking good for us with both Tommy Schiller and Agars to come into the side.

What can the league do to make the other teams competitive with Tanunda?

? What can the AFL do to make the other teams competitive with Geelong?
Its not Formula 1 racing where the officials change the rules and try to make it difficult for the dominating team!

Give Tanunda a bit of respect, they have worked hard over the years and have kept some quality juniors. Imagine if the players they lost the last few years were still there in Greenwood, Craig Taylor, Kennedy and Wall.

I think you’re wrong. That’s exactly what it’s like otherwise they wouldn’t have had an import rule
Or now the points system.

The points system has evened out the comp this year, but there are still too many loopholes in it for teams with the money to do so. Perhaps the eveness of the comp is more a fact that teams are generally weaker than in past years?
When a team recruits to cover losses - like Agars, etc. - is it fair when they return? Doesn't this make a mockery of the points system? Other teams have planned for the season, and all of a sudden the playing field isn't level anyore, especially if planning is hampered by injuries to new players. Is it fair Tanunda and Willaston get "get out of jail" cards?

Agars is worth no points as he is a local Tanunda lad, so that argument does not hold up. Tanunda basically have no points this season to play with anyway, the league have tried to even things up here, Bevan was the only recruited player for this season. Have a look at Tanunda's best players each week, Schiller x 2, Wells, Bignell, now probably Agars plus his brother, all local lads who have grown up here. Yeah Newberry, Underwoods (moved here anyway), Britton, Kaesler, Prior all recruited in a few years ago and now living here now and are considered locals. I can tell you that you will get no apology from me that we have a club enviroment which has helped us hold onto these guys. We also have a great deal of local young talent getting around this season (Hamra).
