Not sure. Virginia scored 7 in the 1st quarter so tough to explain. I left the game at half time so I've got no idea what happened after that. Virginia far too good though from what I saw.

Who is Christemann? Heard there was a bit of a dust up there on Saturday, was it after this? Hamley seem to be getting mixed up in a bit of boxing each week of late.

Aaron Christmann, quality midfielder and was doing a bit of the run and carry from defence as well.
Cmrlec was trying to shepherd and was caught by Christmann's elbow/forearm. Couldn't tell from where I was. Didn't look like much of a blow but Cmrlec was a little dazed and the ump basically grabbed Christmann and said "you're off and reported".

A little brawl erupted in the last. Catford on the bottom of a pack, who knows what went on down there? Lol.

Pretty obvious what would have gone on with him involved

Sounds like it could be only 2. My 2 cents worth would say Jenner. Great umpire

yes it was Jenner, small man syndrome a little. great umpire???? :vom: .... Him and Will share the honour of best umpire in our league but dont get too carried away, they are the best of a VERY bad bunch!!!! harsh but fair. half the umpires are still learning to shave and they're meant to be able to control 42 men in a heated game of football.. come on!!! ~x(

By the way scud, I can confirm it was Brenton Lamond, not Stuey who made those comments during the game on Saturday.

i apologise then, my mistake... wasnt having a crack at him just saying that it was abit harsh to have a crack at footy club.. and as i said normally enjoy the way he plays!!!

I'm not sure but I reckon the suspension for association reasons is different to regular suspension. If you are suspended for the association availability thing, you can't be selected to play but you can step on the field etc. I think...

Not sure of the offical rule, but I believe if a player is suspended they are not able to enter to field of play for the matches they are suspended. I know former Adelaide Crows player Chris Ladhams who is player coach of Jervios in the River Murray Football League was suspended for 8 matches earlier this season. In an article I read from the Murray Valley Standard paper Ladhams is still able to coach Jervios but not enter the oval.

Christmann should have just headbutted the guy...and had previous disciplinary records...then he would have only got a suspended sentence.

Just saying Christmann cops 2 weeks for a high forearm/elboy which happened in the process of protecting himself from a solid sheppard, within 5m of the ball.

Joel Wilson can headbutt players 100m off the ball, in front of the bulk of the crowd and supporters...and cop a suspended sentence and still play finals.

Are there two sets of rule books?
