Interesting call Dutchman. A lot of those sides mentioned that they would struggle to field B-grade sides cos the guys can't commit to a 2-day game. However, it seems they all are available week in week out for C-grade, so wot's the diff :?: Agree for the good of cricket, some of those sides should be forced to play up, particularly if recent results suggest they are playing a grade below their ability.

The point is do they add anything to the HCA? I dont think so, neither have juniors and if they had a higher grade it would force them to think long term and not just recruit from pubs

Hahndorf will comfortably beat Wistow in one semi-final whilst the other semi between Creeks
and Nairne looks a flip of the coin.
Creeks probably best chance of upsetting Hahndorf but are rarely able to field anywhere near their strongest
side this time of year.

Does anyone have a preview of this weeks game and where it is?
I cant believe that Hahndorf and Nairne were beaten. You would have thought that those two sides were way better than the other two teams in the finals.

'A' grade grand final Langhorne Creek V Wistow to be played on the turf at Langhorne Creek.
Creeks r close to full strength and will start favorites.
L.Creek $1.40
Wistow $2.80

'B' grade L.Creek V Ashbourne at Strathalbyn

'C' grade Macclesfield V Strath at Maccy.

GTS - are you going to the footy trial tonight . Good chance you will get belted.

Mylor has plans for stepping up to A-Grade, but it can't be a short term thing. I believe we are looking at the possibilites of a 3rd team and a junior side next year. If clubs are looking to compete at A-Grade level they must have a structure in place to ensure they are competitive and can remain at A-Grade level long term.

Can't see the Devs getting belted Wolverine.

I reckon it'll be a good close game.

Are River Murray Cricket finals on this week too? Might even teams out if that's the case?

in the TVCA

Lobey made 200 + and Cambrai are already 3 for very few at stumps. Hackett made 90 odd.

In the A2s, a last wicket partnership of over 70 sawy kersbrook make about 190. Eden Valley are 4/20 at stumps.

In the Bs, Paracombe have already won on first innings, but i believe eden valley want to take it to a second.

TVCA:

Lobey won the As. I'm not sure how many Cambrai made in reply, but they batted til about 4pm, so a few blokes must have made a few. Greg Falkenberg of Cambrai was the A grade cricketer of the year. He took nearly 50 wickets for the year i believe.

In the A2s, Eden Valley made 100 in reply to 190 from Kersbrook. You wouldnt have known that kersbrook had just won a flag by their reactions

Cant tell you any more about the Bs. Assume Paracombe won.
