Ok, here's some entertainment then. Pick the A grade best and fairest for each APFL club. I will donate a (admittedly cheap) footy for the overall winner of the comp come season's end. Unless someone wants a netball....
Entries must be lodged before this week's games:

Balaklava:
Hamley Bridge:
HWE:
Mallala:
Two Wells:
United:
Virginia:

The footy is a synthetic size two Sherrin. Not ideal for matches but perfect for kicking around the back yard, or inside if you've got a nice missus or lenient land agent.

We have only had 4 close games. Lost to Two Wells at the start of the year by 4 points then the next week against Mallala by 1 point. Luckily we returned serve and beat Mallala last week by 5points and fell over the line this week by 3points.

I think two wells hav been in heaps this year.

I'll stand corrected but I reckon 1 win - 4 losses under 1 goal.

Scud should be able to shed some light on that one MC trying to act the enforcer for the young Hamley boys......it was actually cringe worthy :? Hindsight suggests he should have sunk the boots in, given would've been his only kick for the day  I'm looking forward to hearing from each member of the fan club this week anyway .

Acting as an enforcer in the 17's? How old is he? late 20's

as scud is still sipping pina calatas on his holiday :-t i better defend the young passionate man... Chris Hummell the coach of the senior colts for Mallala always goes into scuds work and they always talk football, scud had always planned to go listen to chris speak at half time, but unfortunatley there were heated conversations taking place from "players" at half time and Hamleys coach was telling all players to get to their huddles, when one of the mallala kids called him a fat c... defiantly nothing else was out of the ordinary from both clubs just young lads having a crack, this lad though crossed the mark when yelling that at the top of his voice, anyway back to scud... he walked over to huddle stood to listen to chris speak and had a older man approach him and say, can you fuc#ing piss off, and scud being scud and like so many others would when being approached and spoke to like that, said back to this old bloke.. that he had as much right to be there as the old man did. then the old man shoved a poweraide bottle into him and scud snatched it out of his hand and told him to piss off and then thats when a couple other mallala people got involved and told scud to move away and from where i was sitting he did this... if this is wrong swamp and you seem to know everything please correct me. just seems every chance you get you put the boot in to him but i am guessing you dont know him.

i can understand people on here getting frustrated with a few of the posters talking him up but they are all great blokes, and mates and are just stirring the pot having fun..

you are right about one thing though if he would have kicked the old man then that would of been the only one of the day  ... hamley were very disapointing.. hard to know what you are going to get at the moment!!! #-o

all i ask swamp is you not to jump all over me i just wanted to back up a mate and fellow club person when its obvious he isnt allowed to defend himself...

cheers

Spot on, I don't know the bloke Mongoose. I'm told he is a top bloke, but you must admit his antics on field open him up for some criticism whenever the opportunity arises? When you play like that, you have to take the good with the bad surely. Needless to say averaging 4 goals a game for the bottom placed team is a fair effort and I understand that. The incident Saturday probably has been blown out of proportion but it wasnt a good look.

By the way I wouldn't rate my opinion to highly, I'm just on here stirring the pot like the rest of us....

Mongoose, I think SD has worked out that if you stir the pot at Scud then it gives everyone a good read for the next couple of days with all the retaliations from his Hamlette mates ^:)^

Thats the plan apparently. Long Plains definately going to Stanley (Clare) and are trying to get an A and B grade.

Dublin have gone to Para Districts to play in their 1 day comp, Div 7? and their juniors will follow. Hamley have just disappeared.

Next problem will be to sort out our tennis league which I think will be much tougher to solve! :-k
