[quote="Swamp Donkey"]Balaklava vs Virginia: Peckers by 9 points (1-39)
No Wilkey will cost the rams, as will thier increasing dependence on a firing B.Nicklaus up forward. Its that time of year when the rams start to tighten up a bit (ala 2009 & 2010), the heart rate kicks up a tad, and a bit of pressure starts to build on the playing and coaching group as that little voice starts to poke and prode at the prospect to letting another season go down the gurgler. Something tells me if it happens again this year, there will be riots in the streets of Ramtown. If Caleb Howell plays I'd be tempted to change my tip, any news on this?

Good insight into the Virginia team there Swamp,That crystal ball is working overtime. I can here that voice at the moment its telling me to have another beer :lol: , i mean soft drink

I thought that might fire you up a bit AKA :D :D I'm clutching at straws this year I think mate, or praying more to the point. Rams are gonna be hard to stop and flag for the Virginian faithful would be well deserved without a doubt. I just thought I'd put some pressure on AKA... :D Good luck 2mora

Congratulations UNDERthePACK, who comprehensively sealed the SA Footy APFL tipping competition for 2011. Swamp Donkey took out the cash competition, as we knew on Friday, but still, worth pointing out nonetheless.
wangas#4 boxed on to get fourth behind a gallant Hazbeen, who was in the top two for a majority of the year.
Most of us gave up resulting in the subsequent drop in form but it would have taken a real special effort to catch UTP, who dropped below four points only five times in 19 rounds.
I'll get the prizemoney sent out to the winners, while the losers (like me) will have to let the wounds of defeat heal in the off-season.

Thanks for being part of it lads. Was a ripper comp.
Right in front of me. RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!

Went and watched the Balaklava vs Virginia clash, after Virginia got an early 5 goal jump on Balak's they were able to tap away at it and reduce the deficit by half time. The game was a bit sloppy and it wasn't a highly skilled specatcle, the lead changed a few times and the Rams had their chances but were behind when the siren went.
I noticed a few B graders running around for the Rams, I'm not sure how many the Peckers had out though, should be a cracking re-match this week.

Being involved in the BL&G don't usually get much of a chance to see any APFL footy, thinking of heading down for a look Sunday, Mallala v United going to be a good match???

2 of the 3 games this year have been decided by less than a kick, then throw in a pretty intense rivalry and a noisy crowd on a small oval and I would predict a good match to watch.

:? Its definately not what you would call a big oval, Balak, Virginia, Mallala and Long Plains oval would all be larger so in comparison with the majority of the league it is a small(er) oval. :D
