"Filthy" had an interesting career. He had an outstanding debut season in 1972 (playing 18 games), and then managed only 3 games the next year. I can't remember exactly what happened but I vaguely recall a case of the 'second-year blues'. I can't remember if he left the club after the '73 season but he didn't play a League game again until 1977, when he played 17 games in a side that made it to the Preliminary Final. 1980 was his final season and he played only the one game. Quite a rollercoaster.
