The Montgomerie count is the prelim final weekend at Two Wells.

Who'd be the front-runners in the lower 3 grades?

Reserves: I don't know many of the players, Balak's line-up has been a bit inconsistent. Maybe Shaun Henderson (ruckman).
Snr Colts: Again, don't know many players, Balak's best chances are Riley McDonald and Chad Ruiz.
Jnr Colts: Mallala have played well all year, would think maidenmagpie would have a fair idea on their best chances.

reserves will be hard to say,our chances would maybe bilney, kirvan and maybe barr
senior colts would look towards martin and maybe page
junior colts, too many to steal votes of each other, would be dunstan, good, clothier, wilson but would pick coombes from united or taylor from hummocks as best picks

Plains Producer Medal Market:

Montgomerie $1.30 : Dominant season in a finals bound team, Judd-like year in the midfield.
Whitwell $4 : Under the umps nose all the time and respected competitor, former winner.
Wilkey $4 : Consistently good in a team that didn't lose many games.
H Walker $6 : Former winner who will attract votes.
Mackereth $9 : HWE's most consistent midfielder. Former winner in YPFL, wins the hard ball.
Russell $10 : Probably underrated by some teams, Russell is another who has been consistent in the Virginia midfield.
S Rowland $10 : Been named in the club's best umpteen times in a breakout year.
Higgs $12 : Great leader for Hummocks but lack of wins will hurt his chances. Should poll well.
Niklaus $12 : Won some games off his own boot and notched 90 goals for the year. Could be right up there with a strong finish to the year.
Rimmer $12 : Class act around the midfield for the Maggies, injury will hurt his chances.
Earl $15 : As above but again, probably doesn't have enough games under his belt.
Howell $15 : Probably the early challenger for Montgomerie until mid-season when a knee cut his season short.
L Michael $15 : Another Balak midfielder who has had a great year in the guts.
Mills $18 : United's best chance given early season form. Dropped off a bit lately.
Seccafien $18 : Two Wells' best hope. Busted his guts all year and will get votes. Just not enough.
Moody $20 : Will probably be Hamley's best vote getter but lack of wins doesn't help his chances.
Pym $20 : Just hasn't dominated enough games to quite get the choccies but it will be interesting to see who gets more votes out of he and Mills.
Any other $20 : Any one else I've missed.
Dawson $25 : Not named enough in the club's best this year, Dawson has also won games single-handedly. Deserved more recognition really.
Johnston $25 : Burst player who catches the eye. Don't know if he's had a better year than Wilkey though.
Schahinger $25 : One of the most improved players in the competition, will be a leading vote getter for his club.
Allmond $50 : Also had a good start to the year but injury will kill of his chances.
Catford $50 : The mercurial midfielder missed too many weeks in the latter half of the season.
Christmann $50 : Suspended so got no hope but could poll a few votes.
Burgess $1,001 : Just in case the Duke wants to chuck a tenner on him. :D

Can I multi L Allmond most votes for Two Wells into W Banton most votes for Tigers? What odds will you give me for that? Somewhere around the $12-$15 mark hopefully. Will give you a tenner in the pub Friday night if you wanna hold it. :D

Limited opportunity for maximum votes will stop The Duke going straight out on the nose.
Good value in putting some hard earn’t on him for a place.

Any of you Virginia lads, how is your side looking for tomorrow?

Balak is close to full strength, only 2 regular A graders out injured

Good luck with that 1 MH, at a guess I'd say Brice is one.

Wheats is in a tough spot given he wouldn't have qualified for reserves finals I don't think and his hammy is still troubling him.

Brice had surgery last week I think.

Wheats doesn't have to qualify for B's if they are playing on the same day as A's. Can drop an A grader to B's during finals under this rule without playing any B games during the season (seen it done for a grand final when both played on same day).
