It's all about the B grade

Post by number2 »

Any thoughts on B grade Finals.

Top 4 imo are very closely matched. Cove may also go OK if they can drop any A graders back.

Flaggies V Reynella @ Noarlunga - Flaggies
Brighton V Noarlunga @ Aldinga - Shoes
Valley V Morphett Vale @ Christies Beach - Valleys
Cove V Porties @ Port Noarlunga - Cove

Agree with your comments. I would suggest a month of very good finals.

Flaggies v Flies. Flaggies albeit I note the Flies have a few back from A grade.
BDOS v Shoes. Bombers (and reasonably comfortably in the end).
Valley v Emus. Vikings. Emus off the boil over past three weeks.
Cove v Porties. The hardest to pick. Will stick with Cove if only as they have a bigger list to pick from (i.e qualified A's)

Porties gotta be unhappy being put in their away rooms as the lower placed team...

I would have thought they would have been more than happy to get their B's in the finals let alone whinge about where you get changed!!

The top three selections could easily go the other way with teams getting stronger for finals. Reynella to burst the bushpig bubble, Brighton to easily account for the shoes and the Emus to win in a tight one.

Archer correct. Flies by 15 pts over Flaggies 11.10.76 to 9.7.61. Flies got away to a flyer kicking 6.2 with a strong wind in the 1st qtr to 0.2. After that 5 goals to 9 but the lead was too big. Don't get me wrong, Flies deserving winners and end margin of 15pts probably flatters Flaggies.

Interesting match last Saturday between Flaggies and Cove. Flaggies won by 2 points albeit Cove had a couple of chances to snatch it. The stretcher was required 3 times during the match (two Flaggies knee injuries and a Cove lad was concussed, all in general play). This is the interesting part. Time taken all up was 10 minutes but all of this when Flaggies were kicking with the breeze. No time on so Flaggies missed out. Surely there should be "injury time". It's not dark that early in September.

Pointless king, if that were the case, from where i was standing, Cove could blame mother nature for the lack of wind and the constant rain for the whole of the 2nd qtr. Not to mention the lack of balls by the umps late in the last qtr to pay anything to avoid contreversy, the b grade play the same times etc all year, give it a rest and be happy that your still in. My tip, bombers easily.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the B Grade GF this week. Played each other twice this year with 1 win each and 2 close games.

Flaggies have played and lost to both teams over the last three weeks. IMO, Brighton looked the stronger and appear to greater depth of quality all over the field plus a forward line capable of kicking a big score. However I will qualify my comments by saying that Bayliss and the Flies FF, Capaich (??????) didn't play against Flaggies and are obviously two very good inclusions for Reynella. Brain says Brighton, heart says Reynella (only because Brighton have won the last three).

For the stats geeks, both prelims had almost the identical scoreline!

Reckon the flies could get up in a nail biter.

That Brighton side looked pretty ominous yesterday and believe they will win 4 on the trot, Bayliss i wouldn't think is qualified? So the Wineys may well have a weaker side going in this week, dependant if they can drop any back out of the 1's?

Bombers by 4 goals.

Brighton you would think will get the 4 in a row. Big ground will be to quick. My pick it will be all over by 3\4 time.
